The General Greene

Came here for dinner, the place was nice with low lights and felt very cozy. We ordered the Burger which was great, smoked chicken which was delicious, and creme roulette which was OK. Service was quick and good, and over all it was a nice experience. The problem was with the drinks, they weren't that good. Prices were fair enough for the food.Try it if you are in the area.

The space is amazing, cozy and beautifully decorated. Reminds me of the restaurants I've been to in France. The food is good. Not the best pizza in Brooklyn but it's good they are half off during happy hour. Can't really beat it.

Second day in a row giving this place a try while in the neighborhood and second day of the slowest service ever. At least yesterday's server was short staffed and running around to do his best. Today I am only one of 16 people here in total, and watching 4 staff members circle around. After 5 minutes of sitting alone at the bar, I had to ask for a menu. And then 10 minutes after ordering, another server finally asked if I was being helped. Tables unset and messy, I wondered if it was just post brunch rush. But judging from the pouring rain outside it doesn't seem it has been so busy. Either way, my coffee milk was burnt, service is slow and you have to asked 5 times for a check and even go to your server with the card to make sure you can pay and leave. If it wasn't for the amazing biscuits I would have left one star. A shame really because there aren't too many cozy options in the area, so one is forced to endure this sort of service.
