Ask for Mel!! This place is awesome. Freshest seafood. Best service. Eat the smoked salmon. Try a special. Eat the oysters. Just go and eat and be happy. Might as well have a glass of wine too.

Best seafood in Georgia! I absolutely love everything about The Fish Peddler. When you are able to put together the right atmosphere, comfortable and laid back, with fresh seafood straight from the gulf that is cooked to perfection you have something special. The Fish Peddler is that place.

Best seafood anywhere this side of the coast. Nothing is fried, I mean Nothing! The owner and staff are like family. They treat everyone like family. Best place to eat in Thomaston.

They recently rebuilt it after having to move it further from the roadway. This has the best seafood around. They don't fry anything. It is all broiled or grilled. I highly recommend the snapper blackened. It is my go to there. I also recommend the potatoes as a side and the smoked salmon dip as a starter. Most places have the salmon dip as a mayonnaise base, but they make it with a cream cheese base which is amazing. Also, they will accommodate you if you have a shellfish allergy.

Just visited the fish peddler this weekend for the first time in a while. The food is pretty good. I had grilled tuna and crab cakes which was fantastic. I sat at the bar and was able to watch most of my food being cooked on a small skillet, which is pretty amazing given the production quality. This place seems like it would be on a beach somewhere, which is one of the best things about it.
