The Egg Shell

Tried the banana bread french toast. I do not recommend it. It was quite dry, and though syrup and butter made it edible it was still way too dry. So the food was two stars but I added an extra because the service was great. Quick, attentive and friendly. I'll give this place another chance sometime and try something else.

I thought this was going to be a tired, dated breakfast spot (sorry....)...but the atmosphere is clean and contemporary. We dug in, so here’s a pic of a mostly eaten plate and my Bloody Mary, after eating the full size olive and dill pickle. We’ll be back. (Initially went to syrup, down the street, but they had a 45 minute wait, 11 empty tables, no air conditioning and many many tables without food...what a blessing in disguise!)TIP: call in to place your name on wait list! ALSO, Patio has FULL SHADE :-)

Fine meal with friendly service.Their gimmick is serving tater tots not French fries or home fries. I got a burger for some reason. It was meh. The omelette at the table was fine. Nothing special.

Great food with nice choices for sides like coffee and sauces (not the same old stuff). Friendly people, good prices, just off 16th Street Mall.

This is a good breakfast spot. I friend or and will go back as it's conveniently located, has a good set of choices, and is reasonable. I did experience a problem with one of the dishes on my last visit that was quickly and correctly fixed grin the customer's point of view. I was a little surprised the owner started that she had yelled at one of the kitchen staff that had made the mistake. Good employees are hard to grow and worth keeping.

Get the shooting star skillet! Tater tots with cream cheese and mushrooms taste awesome!

So good! Everything was delicious. You can get half servings so you can easily try a bunch of things without overeating. Also, they are amazing for having swedish pancakes!! 😍

I like this place. Professionally friendly staff. Good quality food. Competitive portions. Cozy setting in spite of lots of big glass windows. Good natural light, comfortably filtered by surrounding structures.

Neat place. It took way too long to be seated in a half empty place mid morning, but the food came quick and the staff was nice. The food was real good as well, def go back.

Lovely. A light-hearted, happy place with amazingly simple food choices. Best for breakfast. I would come every morning for the open-faces avocado and hot chocolate.

Nice place and very good food. The only issue is with a long line. You may need to wait for long time. Also it’s kind of tiny , no many tables there
