The Drunken Munkey - West Village

Lamb kebab was really good. Very juice and nice. The servicing portion was really small. Punjabi Tandoori chicken was good. Serving size was good but who serves tandoori chicken with fried potatoes.

Had my friend’s birthday dinner at The Drunken Munkey. Food was just so delicious, that we kept ordering more and more. Stood there literally for 5 hours. Drinks are good, really good. A bit too much and too much food! Loved it! Definitely will be back.

Was super excited to be here for the monkeys! Unfortunately the male bartender recommended a special that was 2-for-1, when we went to cash out he said "oh it is per person, didn't you know?"The service from him wasn't good, the drinks were "premade in fridge" and were poured over ice in a very small teacup. At least it was only $10 a round but still, we are both lighweights and felt no buzz after 2 drinks each (and no food for hours). Great monkey furnishings, not so great place.

Stopped in for a quick drink, stayed for a great time !! The service was beyond awesome, and the drinks were as good as they come !! Cool little spot in the West Village, with a great vibe. George and Miika really take care of you, making you feel like a real VIP!! Will definitely be back !!

This is one of the best Indian restaurants in the city. It's very inviting to enter and cozy cozy. The service is very friendly and attentive. The food is very very good. I came with 6 people, so we ordered several dishes and shared. Everything was great. The breads were fresh and hot.Overall, this is a restaurant to go out of your way to have a meal at.

We had a great time here! The place has a lovely ambiance and the food was delectable! Our waitress, Sara, was really sweet and made sure we were well taken care of throughout- so just an all-round great experience.

Really good Indian food. I was surprised to find this place to be perfect for a sit in dinner. Has really good vibe and atmosphere. This would be my pick over the rest.

The service was a major let down. We waited over 20 minutes between rounds to get anyone's attention should we have wanted to order differently, needed a drink, etc. Closing our check was another 25 minute process. We spent 2.5 hours on a 2 course meal, with one round of drinks ordered. The restaurant was not that busy or over capacity, so this puzzled the group.However, through the lack luster service - we did thoroughly enjoy the food. They've done a great job of incorporating non-traditional Indian items (short ribs, cheese toast) without coming off as fusion or inauthentic - as the flavor and spice profile was consistent with authentic Indian cooking technique.

Great bar tender, lovely train car bar with awesome indian food. The bollywood movies was a great touch. Get some food, let the bartender recommend a cocktail!
