The Difference Baker

We sought out The Difference Baker after learning about them online. With gluten-sensitive family visiting town for the holidays, we made the drive from Western Loudoun and are so glad we did! We purchased frozen cinnamon rolls and ziti. Let me say, those rolls were out of this world! Incredibly moist, almost devilishly flavorful, and the perfect size. Bonus was that the staff was warm and friendly, too. Will gladly return!

So disappointed to show up here before 5:30 on Thursday when Google and the answering machine say you’re open until 7 on Thursdays. But you closed before we got out of the car. I understand all about small businesses so please keep to advertised hours or change what you advertise online and on your answering machine.

Went on opening day. Crazy busy and line was out the door! My wife has been following this baker for a little while and very excited about them opening. Took home pot pie which was delicious and had a bunch of the donut holes. I loved the plain but the others liked chocolate. Would love a couple of more menu items and heard they will be adding some soon. Note the store hours are tight.

Omg. I bought just one cupcake (big mistake,should have gotten them all!). It was the best cupcake I have ever had. I have tasted many regular cupcakes too, but the gluten free one here was better than the best of them all! Place was hard to find, they don’t advertise much , which I hate, because I want more people to know and I want to taste their cupcakes for years to come. Please introduce more items to the menu! You guys rock!Call before you go btw. Their timings are off.

We drove two hours (round-trip) to taste The Difference Baker's goodies! I have mixed reviews, we have other gf shops in the area that I would pick over this one. But here were our favorites: oatmeal creme cookie, snickerdoodle, cinnamon rolls (could use more frosting, they were a little dry), cupcakes, lemon bar. Skip the coffee, donut holes, scones and sugar cookie (it had orange in it and was over powering). I was also sad to see so much of their product was frozen and they just baked it when they were running out.

I'm so excited to have a wonderful new bakery like this in the area! Everything I've tried there is so delicious. You can't tell it's gluten-free. I only wish it were a little closer to me so I could visit more frequently! You do NOT need to have a gluten intolerance to enjoy the deliciousness, but you will still benefit from healthier options!

My son just went to the Difference Baker for a 5 year old birthday party. They all learned how to make pizza and decorate fresh sugar cookies. Very impressed with the chefs! Thank you again and will be back to try some of their yummy frozen entrees.

I have had to avoid gluten for about 11 years now. While there are many prepackaged baked goods available, NOTHING compares to a real bakery! Every single thing I have tried is Amazing. My favorites are the donut holes- I may have cried a little eating those- and the cream pie cookies. The scones are amazing. The baked Ziti is so tasty! The cookies- yum! Have not tried the pretzel bites yet since I seem to be there when they are sold out. Not only is the food delicious, the staff is so friendly! I can’t thank Alyssa and her team enough for having this place available to the community. I hope they are here for decades to come! Now, off to enjoy my chocolate chip scone!

This bakery is great it has lots of gluten free items and dairy free items for people to enjoy. The donut holes and cinnamon rolls are family favorites!

As an individual with severe food allergies, I greatly appreciate that I found a bakery that makes special food with no cross-contamination. The cupcakes and donuts are just amazing! Love it!

As someone who doesn’t have a gluten intolerance, I can confidently say I would come back to The Difference Baker again and again. The cinnamon rolls are one of the best I’ve ever had, and the donut holes are a divine experience! You can tell everything is thoughtfully made with high quality ingredients and is so delicious, you’d NEVER know they were gluten-free!

I have soooo many food allergies and was recently told about this bakery. I have so far only tried the chicken pot pie and it was delicious! Absolutely delicious and I'm so happy that I found this. Finding dairy, gluten, nut, and tree nut free food is kinda difficult at times, but I highly recommend this place! :)

I genuinely forgot I was eating gluten free until I was finished and remembered where I was!
