The food and service was the best! The most delicious Italian food I've had in years!

The Aleppo Rigatoni was very flavorful and the pasta was perfectly cooked. I can't wait to return and try some other dishes. The only downside to the food was the focaccia bread. We thought it was was too airy and the bottom was pretty soggy. However, it may have just been that batch. I'll give it another try. Service was a bit slow but I don't mind waiting for quality food. Just plan to give yourself enough time.

from the moment we arrived(terrific hostess)to the moment we left with great hesitation it was a home run. we love the place, the terrific service with big smiles and skill to the fantabulous and delicious food it is a place worth a trip to portland for. we'll be back and will definitely recommend. many thanks for helping to make our trip to maine a memorable one.

we always go for dinner when we’re in town but went to sunday brunch the other day...bit on the pricey side, as bloody maries were $10 a pop, but the butcher’s plate i got was really good.... def soaked up everything from the night before ahah... would go again w/o a question... great spot up there

Classy and intimate atmosphere but still casual for meal with a friend. Went for the brunch breakfast plates which was delicious. We got the butcher's breakfast, which was meat heaven, and the brioche French toast decadently sweet and buttery. Would go again to try their dinner menu.

The food is very good here with generous portions. Prices are reasonable. The service sometimes is great and sometimes leaves something to be desired. They seem to recommend reservations and then sound a bit put off when you call to make them.

I’m a huge fan of Italian food and with the north end of Boston, MA being so close to my home and having some amazing eats, I have to say that this little place can compete! The food and service was spectacular. I could taste the freshness in everything I ate and what’s even better was that everything that was served came out hot. Nothing was left sitting for too long and it showed! The only reason this place got 4/5 stars for me was that they were at least 15 minutes behind seating us (even with a reservation) and I do understand that timing can be unpredictable and it happens but it was the hostess’s demeanor that was unpleasant and unsettling. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone in the area searching for a good Italian eat!

The building is undergoing a rebuild so don't be put off by the staging outside. The menu is varied and can easily satisfy many a person's hunger. In house pasta and bread. Great place for a lunch or dinner. Mixed drinks and good selection of beer.

Great place to go and relax with some friends. Saturday and Sunday brunch menu is guaranteed to excite. Great choice is the orange brioche French toast and the corned beef hash with sweet potatoes and poached eggs. The bloody Mary's are one of the best in the city.

This is one of those places I'd give 3.5 stars if it were an option. I would go back if someone else wanted to go here, but I would not go out of my way to suggest it. The food was pretty good..I enjoyed my caesar salad, but my lasagna was nothing remarkable. The meh lasagna aside, the service was also not on point. I came here on a weeknight in the winter, so the place was not overly busy....yet I still felt somewhat neglected.

We had a delicious lunch of small plates before a concert at Merrill Auditorium nearby.
