The Clarendon Tavern

Came here on Canada Day with my girlfriend. We ordered everything on the app menu, and a few drinks. We enjoyed the food (especially the Scotch egg) and the service. Beautiful interior and centrally located to boot.

Just tell them how many people to cook for and life will be fantastic. We had breakfast for 3. Check it out, this is what they came with.

Super hip and stylish place located right downtown. Very Instagram worthy. I went for brunch with folks from out of town and we all enjoyed it. Service was great and there's a variety of things to pick from. My only complaint is that they didn't have milk alternatives for coffee, but hopefully next time! Planning on coming again & bringing a group for a friends bachelorette weekend.

Was here for lunch with a group on a quiet day. Not many other customers, but still took quite a awhile for mains to arrive. Atmosphere okay, service okay but slow, mixed reviews from most on their lunches (pizza so-so, veggie burger so-so, fried chicken to-do, onion soup so-so, desserts so-so). Not terrible, not great. Prices on the high end for the overall experience. Didn't appreciate the auto 18% group tip, as I didn't feel it was quite justified, but such is the nature of group lunches at some restos. Overall, intriguing menu, but could not recommend.

All shiny and new. Suspect this is recently renovated. Decent selection of beer and spirits. Didn't eat but the found sounded/looked good and our server was cool. I'd go back for more drinks and some food.

The food was good but service was slow and a bit disorganized. It took about half hour before we got our drinks and then went down hill from there. Lamb burger was a bit dry but nicely seasoned. For the price I expected a bit better. Not a place I would likely return to.

I went here with some family for the first time. I hadn't seen them in a while and we were put in the back to have a more quiet environment. The food was great, the selection of drinks was decent and the staff were very helpful.I went again today for some food and drinks with a few friends. They were very busy, but again the staff were very attentive to our needs. Will go again.

Very nice spot, service and food great, a little expensive in comparison to other taverns, but the ambiance made up for it. Will go back

Glad we made a reservation (ate there Friday night). During our visit staff were attentive and pleasant. I enjoyed the atmosphere, but did find it a little loud.

Newish resto (2 years). Great attention to detail in preparing unique takes on pub favourites and curious creations. Beef gnocchi are great. Pinapple-chimichurri pizza is sublime. Enjoy a variety on Ontario beers on draft and save room for dessert.

Food is great, plus good wine list. As a plus, their happy hour deals are very fair.

So nice to have a place downtown Ottawa that takes a group reservation on a Friday! 50%of the table loved the food, 50% were ok with it. No major complaints, just some plates were way better than others. Server was very attentive.

Very stylish space, nice food, good drinks. Come for their happy hour. Very polite waitstaff and excellent ambiance. Will be back!

Great place and atmosphere. I always get same server, and she always delivers. Friendly, nice and quick, thumbs up! Quite few options to choose from, so definitely good for selective people. Moderately priced.
