We had the most AMAZING dinner at The Bistro in Williamston tonight. If you have not had an opportunity to venture here, please do. The food is fantastically FANTASTIC. Levels of amazing flavor, unique and solid menu, huge drink menu and wonderful staff. We had roasted duck, lamb shank, New York strips, goats cheese, strawberry bruschetta, a salmon pate plate and Cesar salads with anchovies. Lest not forget house made desserts. And don't get me started on all the house made sauces, compotes, dressings, cremes, etc. 👌

The menu shows many mouth-watering choices. Unfortunately, the shrimp on my pasta dish were somewhat overcooked. The venison meatloaf was outstanding.

The food was good.The service was poor. Being a Sunday evening with three tables full, empty otherwise, I would have expected our group of 9 to receive more attentive service. I didn't order a beverage and my water glass was only refilled once the entire meal. Food came out so slowly that, by the time all the diners received their meals, half of my plate was cold. We were seated next to the kitchen and towards the end of dinner, the kitchen staff had apparently gone out the back door to smoke. I don't know if they left the door open because it was cold or what but the smoke was definitely coming back in and we could smell it at our table. We won't be back due to the quality of service relative to price of the meals.
