Meatballs were bland and mush. Mushrooms tasted great so that gravy could have been great if the mushy noodles and meatballs weren't brining it down to bland town.Beers were good. Service was also good.

Can't say anything bad about this place. Tons of gorgeous woodwork. The food was amazing. I definitely recommend the potato pancakes. They have about a dozen in-house brews and they do not disappoint. I suggest the lager for those who know their Bier. It tastes exactly like those you would get in Bavaria. Well done guys.

Nice food and beer options, I always get the beer flight. Price is okay for the area/quantity, the only thing we would change is that the service can sometimes be really slow, like with refilling water or for bringing the check back. Overall though, such a nice place. The atmosphere is really cozy and sophisticated. We usually eat here before or after seeing a movie at the AMC.

If you want traditional German food, this is a great spot to go to. The staff is really friendly, Marsha was attentive and great with kids!

I come to this superb restaurant once a month as I love the good air that is part of this restaurant. The staff is awfuly attentive and skilfull. The service is absolutely fast. Not to mention, the food they prepare is great. I visited often and I was never disappointed. The expense is honest. I recommend this place to all my friends.

Big beers!!! Big beers!!! My girlfriend and I were looking for a craft beer joint and we found it!! Only two brewery's directly downtown. This was one of them and the have flights as well as let's you sample a tiny portion. They had s pretty good IPA i enjoyed. Definitely a great place to checkout. It was busy inside though. To be expected seeing its one of two brewery's in that area.

We love going out. Yesterday we went to this superb place which we didn’t know before. We passed a delightful experience there with delicious food and an efficient crew and a talented cook. We added this venue in our list and we will certainly go again very soon. Highly recommended.

Staff was very friendly got a table quickly. Service was impressively fast. The house beers that we tried were excellent. The one downside I had was my meal. The schnitzel was just way to well done very tough to chew and eat. The mashed potatoes and mushroom app was delicious though.

Loved this restaurant. Up in the theatre district and totally different experience. Jam packed so definitely worth reserving a table. But for all it was very busy the staff and service were excellent.

We love going out. Yesterday we visited this superb restaurant which friends told us about. We had a beautiful time there with high-qulity cooking and a professional team and a great cuisine. We added this venue in our phone list and we will no doubt go again very soon. We highly recommend.

Wonderful place after all these years! Good food, beer in a historic old Chicago atmosphere. Long may they continue to provide Chicagoans with outstanding old world experiences.

Had a great time with the wait staff, but have to disclose that the food was just OK. The beer was deliciously German. The staff was fun. But the food was h it or miss. The Hungarian Goulash was tasty but tough and the house recipe whitefish lacked flavor.

Fantastic restaurant! Still family owned and maintaining the aesthetics that have built its reputation. I had a special - Calve's Liver . It was great. Service was wonderful and the menu is fairly priced. Don't miss this spot when in Chicago!

I had a great experience here. The restaurant is beautiful. We had good service, great food, and even better dessert. Was also impressed with the beer. Can't wait to go back!..........................................................................

My family eats lunch at The Berghoff every year for our annual holiday trip to Chicago. It never disappoints. The ambiance is so comfortable, and the terrific ginormous Christmas tree with the pickle is a favorite. We so enjoy the reubens, burgers, and root beer! Thank you, The Berghoff, for all the years of holiday memories!
