The Barnyard Crafthouse & Eatery

Every time we visit Tucson, given its culinary reputation we try to visit new restaurants; we had lunch yesterday. Food was great! Service not on par. We had no reservations so they told us there would be a 30-minute wait (even though there were many tables available in the terrace). Ordered an Old-fashioned at the bar, was given the drink on a large plastic cup (!?), bartender wanted to hold credit card if we wanted to have it included in the meal bill, we paid on the spot. As soon as we found a nice place outdoor to enjoy our drinks, got the “table is ready” message! Ordered our food which included a 505 with a side of fries; a nice hamburger came w/o fries, reminded server about order, as it was taking time, started eating, halfway stopped to inquire a second server about fries, finished the 505. A third server came asking it food was good, mentioned fries never came, he apologized and came back with the fries shortly thereafter, they were outstanding! Food was great, service ruined the experience!

Been here 2x. The first time was soon after the opening and the atmosphere was amazing, the food was high quality (they had Halibut fish and chips) and I could not wait to go back when I came back. Second time was recently and it was a little disappointing. The Halibut was gone, the menu had changed, quality was lower and ingredients were clearly cheaper. The beers listed on the menu were out of date, and it was hard to settle on a beer that I wanted that they actually still had. It just wasn’t the same and its only been a couple of years and the quality has dropped so quickly. I may go back, but my expectations have been lowered. Still a cool place on the edge of town and is family-oriented.

We had the best waitress! The food is so delicious! Try the cheese curds on the appetizer menu. I got the bleu cheese burger, and it was amazing. The blend of flavors delicious. The parmesan truffle fries. 😋

The food was very good and everyone that worked there was very kind. But I do feel like maybe management is understaffing the restaurant, leaving the servers and the other staff to have unfair pressure on them, and leaving them, unable to fit all of the demands. It seemed appetizers were cold and we were given a stack of plates and many of those plates were dirty. We were at the restaurant and maybe a total of 2 1/2 to 3 hours with food taking very very long to show up. My party at my table is very patient and we were not distressed by this because things happen. But just hoping that a simple review may add some extra staff taking pressure off people who are fighting so hard to work so hard.

Amazing food, atmosphere, and employees. We had Kevin as our server, and he did not disappoint. Will defiantly go back again! BTW they have outside games, so much fun after eating! Stop by, you won't be sorry you did!!!

Excellent food and ambiance. Plenty of food and drink options, everyone will find something they'll like. Would highly recommend a visit to The Barnyard. Great place for large parties as well.

While this was the first place that came up when I searched dog friendly restaurants in Tucson they are absolutely not dog friendly. Even though they have a ton of outdoor seating and plenty of space dogs are not allowed in the barn yard.

We had a nice dinner sitting at the bar. It was busy so it was very loud inside and hard to carry on a conversation. The kitchen lost our ticket so we watched many tables that came in after us eat and leave before we got our meal. I give the manager loads of credit for being aware of what happened to us and taking care of us while we waited. She really cared about our happiness and it recovered our whole experience. I would return because of her kind attention. The food was quite good when it arrived. We had a chicken pizza and the tomato soup with a grilled cheese sandwich. Everything was hot and delicious and they had a nice selection of beers on tap as well

I had the best French Dip I’ve ever eaten at The Barnyard Crafthouse!! Definitely looking forward to going back and introducing my friends to this place. Outstanding!!

Tried this place for the first time last night. Erin was our waitress. She gave us great service. We told her we were in a hurry to get to a movie and she had us out of there in plenty of time. We had the chili. She told us it was a bit spicy, which i appreciated. It was delicious, but a bit spicy for my taste. Loved the Fritos they gave you on the side. That definitely helped to cut down on the spicy flavor. We also had chicken tenders that were very moist and tasty. Would love to go back when the weather is warmer and eat outside. The atmosphere was very inviting and family friendly.

My sister, nephew, his son and I had the pleasure of eating at the Barnyard a week ago and ate there again last night for my nephew’s birthday. The Barnyard Chicken Sandwich and brownie dessert are delicious and I will definitely be ordering them again. My niece, who went with us last night, ordered the Ahi Tuna Sandwich and ate every bite and said she would order it again. Erin, the server we had for the first visit is one of the best servers I have ever had anywhere in Tucson. She was engaging with my 12 year old nephew. A server who takes the time to listen to and meet the needs of a child in a busy restaurant is awesome. Erin was attentive, friendly, and responsive. It was clear that her customers were important to her. The server we had last night was also excellent but I didn’t catch her name. Apparently, this restaurant has become one of our family favorites because we have eaten there three times.

For me, this place is perfect. You can choose to sit inside or outside. The food is excellent with service to match. Did I mention the well stocked bar with premium spirits and wine!

Just stumbled upon this place. No sign and can’t see much from the road. Our server said the owner just wants to do word of mouth for a year. Really dumb business decision. The place is really nice, lots of money invested. The service was great and the food good. I had a pizza that was perfectly made. I didn’t like the balsamic on it, but that’s on me, I’ll order a different one next time. My son got a burger, also perfectly cooked. The fries are very interesting, puffy and hollow, crispy on the outside. Very tasty. My only gripe other than no sign or advertising is that there are only two local beers on the menu. Tucson has some great craft beers, maybe add a Moto Sonora or something from Bario. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu. I wish them well, but please put up a sign, your front of house staff will thank you.

Great food, staff, and atmosphere... awesome outdoor space with nice ramadas and games.

So far so good. Great location. Great staff. Tasty food. We will return.
