My girlfriend and I were out and she suggested we stop in for a quick bite. It was my first time and I must say my experience was great. I had the pick 2 with the turkey wrap (which had apple butter on it) and broccoli and cheddar soup. I travel a lot and try a bunch of different foods and restaurants. The Alley Light is on my list anytime I'm in Charleston!

The drinks are put of this world and the food is equally as great. Highly recommend.

A speakeasy style of establishment with a rather inconspicuous entry. The small plates are fairly creative, but tend to be hit or miss. Had the hen crepe and bone marrow dishes, which were quite rich and unique. The same went for the cheesecake. The bar is immense and the summer cocktails were quite delicious, but there a few stinkers on the list as well. Overall rather interesting experience.

Really interesting location. If you dont have someone tell you how-to find this location, you never will! Awesome selection of what some folks call "tapas" but the variety and flavors were outstanding. Marvelous Barbadian rum cocktail (rum & tonic) and some fabulous desserts. Staff was extremely friendly and on point all evening. A true hidden gem in downtown C'ville!

Service & drinks excellent - food not so much, not worth the $$$$

Food , drinks , service and ambiance were super.

It's hard to overstate just how cozy and nice this place is. The people behind the bar really know their craft and while drinks are a bit more expensive, they're worth it. And, the atmosphere is intimate and warm. I haven't tried the food yet but the list is impressive.

Outstanding cocktails and service. Super friendly and knowledgeable bar staff. The salmon tartare was stupid good.
