Delicious food and superior customer service. Plus the ambiance of the place really makes one feel like they are back in 1776. Plenty of parking in the back. The yankee pot roast is great!

Amazing American comfort food in a gorgeous historic venue. It's the oldest, still-operational restaurant in New York State. My favorite is the Thanksgiving sandwich on toasted cranberry bread. They do host events with an option for buffet style lunch/dinner.

Old feel restaurant in a historic district. I don’t think they’ve quite figured out which way to go regarding cuisine or feel of restaurant. Chefs change frequently. Nice place tho with a cozy feel. Needs a fresh update.

I met with a R.R. car club. our servers were very attentive n polite. even though it was a 2he drive , it was well worth it. the parking needs attention as there was a large muddy area

Great staff and food was amazing! Admittedly. The prices are a bit steep but I had fun regardless. A lot of history and very festive for the holidays. Would recommended! Nice dinner spot, may work for 1st dates if they are interested in history :)

I've eaten here many times and will be back. On their best days the food is incredible, but they are inconsistent. We went there last night for their "6 course New years dinner". Most of our party was disappointed by the food and felt the $75 per person was a bit high considering portion sizes and overall quality. To be fair, my venison was delicious. But others were less than impressed. 2 people both ordered duck and one was completely dry while the other was medium rare.An example of the portion size can be encapsulated by the "pasta course". When it came out there were 2 pieces of pasta on each plate. We had to order food when we got home.Once again, on their best day they may be the best food around, but I'll never go there on a holiday menu again to be sure.

I went there for Christmas party. Very nice historical building and the owner gave us the history about the place. The food was delicious! I liked everything - Hors d'oeuvre, main dish, and dessert were all exceptional.

Great staff, told us all about the history of the building, very interesting stuff. Food was awesome too, the burger was massive and worth 2 meals, but the fries were much better in my opinion. The place is clean and I appreciated the decorations

Thank you to Rob for making my husband's retirement dinner a perfect special night! Fabulous from beginning to end! Absolutely delicious hors d' oeuvres, main course and dessert! Wonderful personal service from our waitress Laura! And great live music! I would highly recommend the 76 House for any occasion from special event to romantic dinner for two. You will love the warmth and historical atmosphere too!

Wanted to come here as it is a pretty historic place! The atmosphere was very fitting. It’s unbelievable how we were in rooms from the 1600’s and 1700’sThere is live music there all of the time which is a sweet add on.We went with the Yankee Pot Roast, Amish Chicken, and Steak. Each were very good and left everyone pleased with their order. The desserts were great as well. I highly recommend the Austrian Tort. As well as their homemade sherbet. It’s a good place for a night out and I would highly recommend it!

Oldest tavern in AmericaWe were a party of 17 having dinner the night before a funeral. I mention this because we were all sharing stories of our beloved family member that had passed. We were all laughing and crying and there nearly Thor hours. Everyone from our servers to the owner made us feel welcomed and comfortable. The food was great and the wine list was nice too. The decor was charming and dining fireside was a treat being that we live in Florida. Thank you 76 House for making difficult time a little less so.
