Great food, great view, great customer service!

Excellent food, Super friendly and helpful wait staff too! So many wonderful dishes to try and the view of the bridge and port are great too! The atmosphere is very family friendly so feel free to bring the kids to enjoy this taste of Thailand in downtown Newport! Definitely a must go to restaurant if your in the area and the prices are very reasonable too! Boba Tea is available here too and is made to perfection! So even if you are just looking for some place to beat the sun and get a refreshing drink this is the place to be!

Had the peanut curry, was tasty. Fast & friendly service. Great views. Enjoyed watching the boats coming back into the marina.

Very good restaurant next to the sea lion, and we don't smell the fish factory so it's great 😁

At the risk of giving up a culinary secret in Newport ...here is our review.We were sad to find Newport Thai food to be so-so ...then Port Thai opened. We have loved the peanut curry dish and the Tom Ka was one of the best we have ever had. We have heard that the salmon should skipped (for $17, did you think that you would be getting quality salmon?..nah). My wife is a Pad Thai critic and finds Port Thai's to be a 6 of 10 The wait staff has been excellent especially Precious who has been extremely thoughtful with helping us with menu selection. She has a great way of describing tastes. We have grown fond of seeing her when we come in. The views of the bay from the restaurant are exceptional. As we ate dinner we enjoyed watching returning fishing boats passing under the bridge and watching a sea lion devour some sea creature just outside our window.If you can get there early when you have the best shot of having the place to yourself. Enjoy

This place has an amazing view of the Bay! Very romantic. The food is always fresh and very tasty. The service is always fantastic.

Gorgeous views, friendly staff, phenomenal food

Very good, fabulous view. Only had two items, fresh springroll and Pad Thai so...can't give it 5 yet. It will be nice to return and check more out.

You need to have the Basil Shrimp Rolls!!!

Thai food was delicious. I also met the Japanese tongue. The pad thai was amazing with a large meat. The rice has become even more delicious at the large location where you can eat while watching the sunset.I was able to watch him crouching outside. It was interesting to see the small sharks returning to the sea or throwing them away.I was watching the child bite. LolI asked for an IPA beer and it was very delicious.A luxurious dinner with a view of the historic bridge, harbor and ship.It's not so expensive. Was it about 60 dollars for 4 people?

Best Thai food in town!

I've eaten here twice and the food and service has been very good. The view of Yaquina bay is great.
