In Manhattan in 1965, there was no place where people could go out to meet friends and make new ones in an environment that was at once both relaxed and yet exciting. Then, Alan Stillman opened Fridays as a way, he said, "to meet Pan Am stewardesses." Suddenly, there was a place with great food, new and exciting drinks and an electric energy. A place where bartenders mixed the environment just as well as they mixed drinks. In short, a place like nowhere else. Today, Fridays in Novi, MI is still America's most iconic bar and grill. We embrace and celebrate our heritage as a bar. One that just happens to serve killer food in an environment where it's always Friday.

Our server took 15 minutes to greet us. 10 minutes to get our drinks. Over 45 minutes to get 2 appetizers and a bowl of pasta. She rarely checked in on us. The manager didn't accommodate us or make the situation better. We were told, because she had a party, she was overwhelmed. I don't understand how, when the party wasn't that big, and she still had 4 other tables to tend to (which she wasn't doing so well with either). I won't be coming back to this location at all.

I like the whiskey chicken and the ultimate long island. If you like cilantro, definitely get it on the side so you can avoid any wilted leaves. They need to be mindful of their mop water and or cleaning rags because there was a bit of a sour smell that was in the air. The staff is very friendly, especially the greeter who sat me, she was delightful, both upon entry and exit. She really adds value. Great place to watch a game.

This location is still one of the best to visit. The linguini pasta was delicious. I've been going here for many years.
