In Manhattan in 1965, there was no place where people could go out to meet friends and make new ones in an environment that was at once both relaxed and yet exciting. Then, Alan Stillman opened Fridays as a way, he said, "to meet Pan Am stewardesses." Suddenly, there was a place with great food, new and exciting drinks and an electric energy. A place where bartenders mixed the environment just as well as they mixed drinks. In short, a place like nowhere else. Today, Fridays in Orland Park, IL is still America's most iconic bar and grill. We embrace and celebrate our heritage as a bar. One that just happens to serve killer food in an environment where it's always Friday.

This Friday's location really deserves a 3.5, since we can't give half stars we came off our high horse and settled for 4. The food here has always been good and hot. The atmosphere is great (the typical chill Friday's vibe). The restaurant is always clean. What needs to change is the lackadaisical employees. This location is empty most of the time but the hostess never seems to be at the door to seat the customers. Furthermore, the waiters and waitresses do not check on you as often as other restaurants. There has been multiple times where the waitress or waiter has given us our food and then went M.I.A until it was time to pay the bill. But overall, if you can get past the slow motion service or if you do not mind being left alone, this is a good location to visit.

We went Christmas night so slow service was understandable. Our waiter was awesome, and accommodating. I haven't been to Friday's in a while, but it's just not good. I ordered the pretzel and beer cheese. The cheese was cold, I sent it back, and it was brought out again cold. Finally the waiter took it back and nuked it. Then it just wasn't good. My actual sandwich was probably a 4/10. Service was good tho. That's the only highlight.
