Fantastic and simple dishes with unique flavors that will knock your socks off. The owner is incredibly nice and a true joy to share a conversation with. A must visit!

I’m doing a project in the 600 W. Chicago Ave building. There aren’t a ton of breakfast places around here but I found this place on a Google Map search and figured I’d give it a try. I’m really glad that I did. I had their Green Chorizo Breakfast Sandwich and it is hands down one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve had in Chicago. Phenomenal.

Updating as I’ve been back several times, today’s brisket torta is amazing and the hash is perfect. Already ate half the sandwich before taking the pic. The slaw is really good too!

Good food, the cheese enchiladas are really good. Portions are just the right size.

Love this place! Real neighborhood gem... food is always outstanding and each member of their team is really friendly and will go an extra mile to make sure customers have great experience. I would recommend trying out their specials and stop by on Saturday for their all day long breakfast menu. I highly recommend this place!

I will be upfront, this is NOT a review of the food or the service, this is a review of their ability to communicate. It just took me 10 seconds to update the opening hours/days on Google. If I can do this to correct it for them, then why didn't they do it? I checked the menu on the website (see screenshot) and it said breakfast served all hours on "weekends". The Google hours say open 7 days a week. We go on Father's Day and it is closed. Maybe I will try it again at some point in the future?

Excellent location for delicious TexMex. It's so tasty. Will surely make a return trip. Prices that won't shock you. Food is like a place in Baltimore I loved.

Great Food and Friendly Service!!

My wife and I went for lunch. Chili was amazing, enchiladas were delicious, grits were great too, and she made amazing cookies today. Great food, great music, and the woman running the restaurant was amazing. She really seems to care about the food she creates and the ingredients she uses. I wish we lived closer we’d be regulars.

Fantastic all around. I'm glad there was a line at Goddess because we went here instead, and had a great experience. The carnitas quesadilla was delicious, customer service was great, and atmosphere cheerful. Go here if you don't want to deal with the apathetic attitude at Goddess and if you want to eat good Tex-Mex food. It's better than other Mexican places I've been to on the north side. I plan to return to try the breakfast.

Hit the spot, no regrets!!

As a native Texan but gone for over 30 years I can say it's been a long time since I saw King Ranch Casserole on a menu. And man it was authentic. I hope this place makes it. Very good menu and all Tex Mex. Please support this really humble but very good small business. The owner is so nice and she fixed up the space very nicely with eat in seating and toilets too!
