Terra Cafe

This was a great find! The restaurant is very clean. The customer service is actually really nice. They made a small mix up on my baked chicken and my fish and inadvertently I went back and got the error fixed they're professional. The food is delicious the macaroni and cheese is outstanding I was actually pretty surprised. The fried fish presentation is wonderful and the taste is actually really good. I put hot sauce on everything! This didn't need anything!If you are craving baked chicken like I was. This was an outstanding find!Take off your shoes and undo you tie. You can't eat this food with your shoes on! You gotta wiggle your toes! 😁

I ordered their Reuben. It was edible. Guess I'm used to the delicatessen style of this sandwich because theirs pales in comparison. The meat was salty, cut thick and seemed like it was fried. There wasn't enough kraut or dressing for my taste. Forgot to mention it was a panini. Didn't look picture worthy but now that I think about it that's why I should have taken a pic. Meh. They did have live music in the back playing jazz.

Terra Cafe is an individually owned and designed cafe. It's not a chain. We went there because the owner sponsors her grandson's basketball team. The place has nice African motif art works, a painted ceiling that looks like the sky, and good, fresh food.I had a chicken cheese steak without the bread and with sautéed veggies. It was quite good, although there was a piece of chicken bone in the chicken.My wife had an omelette. It didn't have the exact ingredients that she requested, but she enjoyed it all the same.There isn't a parking lot. We found metered street parking very near the entrance.

Food is home style kitchen options. The service was lacking and the food can be slow and not arrive all at once. If your not in rush then stop in and enjoy the chill urban cafe vibes with open space. Overall pleasant experience.

Enjoying this great place with good friends and family. I highly suggest this place. Everything is delicious and those old bay honey wings are heaven. They have a great drink selection and everything us reasonably priced. Please check them out and support this great business.

Excellent customer service!! The waitress recommended the fish sub and it was delicious! Warm and welcoming environment and the artwork is beautiful.Will definitely be back.

Amazing atmosphere great food. Soul food with a twist friendly staff

Excellent food, ambiance, live music (especially Monday nights 8-11- get there by 7 for good seats), drinks, Afrocentric art, soulfood, vegan and pescatarian options, local non-alcoholic drinks available, and a bulletin board full of important local events for creatives and activists.

I would like to be able to rate 5 stars because there are so many things I love about this place. The atmosphere is homey in a good way and I have received exceptional service a few times however the food is allways extremely slow and items are constantly missing from the menu . On more than a few occasions I was met with apathetic and rude service. I will probably continue to go because it is typically a good experience whenever the owner is present but he would probably be disappointed to know what takes place in his absence .

The bartender/manager Teresa was the freaking the BEST!!!! I'm not a drinker and she went and created a sweet drink for me and let me name it. So when you stop by ask for The New Yorker. Show some love and stop in. Definitely will return.
