Tendon Tempura Carlos Junior

I was blown away by how incredible this tempura is. I got the special bowl, and for $13 I got a nice amount of tempura which included 2 shrimp, a white fish, a scallop and shrimp patty which was awesome, and a couple others on top of rice, with a miso soup. Not to mention the egg... Tempura fried soft boiled egg... It was magical. Seriously get here, eat the ginger and celery appetizer, and enjoy.

Had the special tempura bowl, was really delicious. Especially like the soft boiled egg. Rice was tasty with the sauce and egg.

Best tendon place in my life! Better than any other tendon restaurant in Japan!

I don't usually write bad reviews, and especially in this hard time... but the customer service was beyond horrible. Usually, they have nice servers, but without them, there's only owner and he is extremely rude and not willing to serve you any food. I don't even know why this place is open if they don't want to-go customers. Even on the phone he was rude, and I thought he was just having a bad day or something... but like in person, he's even more rude. Tempura was soggy af, I would rather go to other Japanese restaurants (Wadatsumi, or Matsui... you name it, there's tons.) near for my lunch.

Great place for comfort food! Portions are very respectable and I have never left hungry. Flavor is on point. Give them a try!

It is best tempra in town. This restaurant is better than Hannosuke. However it is little high price more than Hannosuke.

Cannot go wrong with Tendon Tempura. Everything is yummy. Little bit pricey for lunch, therefore make it a special lunch event. Highly recommended for all Torrance residents.

A delicious and affordable treat. Everything we tried was absolutely amazing with a very authentic flare. It was also very affordable and it was sold in both sets and À la cart making it easy to order! Highly recommended!!!

Don't let the name fool you this place has the best tempura! Price was right and portions seemed light but it was filling! The tempura had a light crunch but not so hard that your teeth would battle it. Definitely going to try the reat of the menu!

Japanese cuisine with Peruvian twisted.Love it. The tempura is so good it’s crunchy but not oily. It’s perfect. I personally love the tempura soba! The price is pretty reasonable. 👍👍👍👍

Clean, friendly, open seating area. Light tempura, only slightly greasy otherwise very good. Soba was good. Dipping sauce was a little strong for me but still enjoyable. I.ll come again!

Excellent tempura. I recommend the king crab bowl or plate. The chunk of crab you get is huge. Amazing meal.
