Very cosy, tasty food. We went at about 7ish and it was very full so we had to sit at the counter. They were very nice about us bringing in a stroller. We did have to chase for some of the food we ordered, and in the end we decided to leave as the server was very nice but pushed to cover all the tables. If you want to go book ahead of time and don't be afraid to gently remind about dishes.

Stumbled across this cool and trendy place and I'm glad! Had all of the sake cocktails and lots of different alcoholic beverages, as well as ordering beef and salmon tempura. Fantastic! Staff were great too!!

Tempura was okay. Found it to be overly greasy, which took away from my enjoyment of it. Location was great, as was the ambiance.

Interesting menu with match beer and beef tempura. Some hit and misses. The pork belly tempura and grilled mackerel was tasty, matcha beer was more of a novelty. Nice environment but prices on the high side.

Great place especially for tempora, good selection of good and drinks and menus are readable for those who speak English, atmosphere is fantastic and staff were attentive and spoke some English.

Really nice tempura, sushi and sashimi restaurant right in the middle of the tourist district of Kyoto (where most other places look mediocre at best). The salmon sashimi, aubergine and the egg tempura were particularly nice.

Excellent sushi. Typical restaurant located in Washiwayacho, parallel to the Kamogawa river, in the inhabited center of Kyoto. It is a characteristic Japanese street with numerous local kids, very popular with tourists, where it is possible to have meals. Kyoto Gatten is a fairly large place where you can dine with excellent sushi, tempura and other delicacies.
