Te Amo Tequila Bar & Tacos

The service was a little frantic--they need to hire a few more servers. We were there on a Sunday at 7pm and spent quite a bit of time waiting for our server to take our order, return to check on us, and bring us our check. We ordered the chorizo, plantain, and steak tacos (after trying to order the plantain and pork belly tacos and the pernil, only to be told they were sold out). The steak and the plantain tacos were amazing and delicious--the same could not be said for the chorizo. The chorizo was not at all flavorful and was overshadowed by the jicama. Finally, the bathrooms needed serious attention :( This place has the potential to be a great spot for groups, but has some kinks to work out.

The steak tacos and service here are both outstanding. I aslo had the quesadillas which were great and the peach and strawberry cocktails made by Melissa we're so good. My only gripe is that the soup was a little salty for me. My GF finished it anyway, I think the margarita kicked in a little early for her lol. Don't forget to save room for the trés leches dessert.

Food was decent and the atmosphere was cool but not my type of crowd.

Amazing tacos, energy and atmosphere! Saturday’s Latin night and happy hours are a plus! Steak tacos super recommenced. Bartenders are friendly and attentive as well as all the staff. Love Te Amo Tequila

Amazing food. Incredible cocktails. Perfect service. The night life New Haven needs!

The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. However the price was ridiculous. It's like, don't be in the club and get hungry!! Wanted some rice and beans to go with my toastidas. The rice was 4$ the beans was 4$ and it was barely enough for one person. A Coke was $3 and it came in a tall shot glass!!! Like truly insane. With two people the bill came up to 58$ that's a lot of money just to eat!!!! And still be hungry!

The food was delicious. Nachos were on a whole other level. Stopped for some "late night" food with a friend. It was really good but we didn't realise it was more of a club atmosphere for 20 somethings so at that time and we could hardly hear each other over the music. So keep that in mind if you are looking for a place to chat over a late dinner.

Great bar. We went for NYE and they stuck to the capacity limit (which was nice because it wasn't packed) they gave everyone complimentary champagne when the ball dropped as a nice gesture.

Great drinks and environment. I told the bartender "Surprise me" and she gave me a Passion fruit margarita. Really good!!

The environment was absolutely amazing had a wonderful time it was my 1st time visiting the restaurant and I'm truly a fan I will be back again food was a definitely amazing

This is the BEST late night take out spot. I’ve never Actually ate inside but I discovered this place on Uber eats one day and gave it a try. Ever since when I’m hungry at a later hour they are my go to. They’re spicy mango salsa with the chips is a great add-ons any entrée. I’ve had the fajita quesadillas, which are great. Sweet plantain appetizer, also great. And the chicken taquito’s are also amazing.

I’m sad I didn’t take more pictures of the food we had. My sister and I went for happy hour and ordered 3 tacos (pork belly with sweet plantain, chicken and chorizo) the guac trio and the chicken taquitos and everything was amazing. I feel like most places skimp on the taco fillings and these were super full. The margaritas were great too, the kind you don’t think are strong until you’ve had a couple and suddenly you feel pretty good. The service was amazing too, our waitress was so friendly and on top of everything. You need to check this place out!

"A+" experience! My second favorite restaurant in CT. I love the drinks selection, food selection, quick service, and lively restaurant. They have what appeared to be a good mix between some authentic Spanish dishes and other Tex-Mex dishes. Quick and friendly staff. I got my food within tens minutes of ordering from the bar. The floor plan is opened up and it is easy spot friends at the bar, booth area, or find the restrooms. The hostess is phenomenal with a cheerful, friendly, and knowledgeable demeanor of Te Amo Tequila Bar and Taco. You can tell she loves the place. The Bartender was the same way: cheerful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Surprisingly, it was busy when I went, but I was still able to have a conversation with a stranger without having to constantly raise my voice during the entire conversation. They have Salsa dancing and live performers play during the weekends. I really loved the overall experience at Te Amo Tequila Bar and Tacos!
