Cramped with seating too close together. Staff were offhand and didn't respond well to questions about the dishes on the menu. They clearly over book as parties were arriving whilst there were no available tables, which lead the staff to hover over us, clearing away dishes we hadn't even finished with, while the waiting parties queued up on the stairs behind us. The food however was tasty and the bring your own booze a bonus. Would not recommend

Delicious food at reasonable prize in Central London is a combination difficult to find. Well not any more, now that I have found Tayyabs. It's a Curry place you could close your eyes and visit. They have plenty of seating, however it's recommended to reserve in advance for peak hours. Don't serve drinks, but you can get your own (BYOD). LAMB CHOPS and PRAWNS highly recommended in starters.

If you are in for trying something spicy for dinner and you want to binge over without getting conscious about being noticed, Tayyabs is your destination. This restaurant is so busy and lively that it gives you all the energy and the appetite to try out everything out of their appetizers and sometimes still leaves you wanting for more

Busy as usual... Took my team here for Xmas lunch on a Friday afternoon thinking we would not be alone but not like it was... Packed for Xmas. Some of the younger team had never been and thought I was taking them to some dodgy restaurant that would be empty and have no vibe... but they all thought it was great. Said service fully attentive (although initial greeting surly and lady on phone awfully rude) but food was excellent and all great value for money. We all had fun.

Great food, quick efficient service and very reasonably priced. Bring your own alcoholic drinks, there is an off licence next door, but not soft drinks. 3 courses, £20 per head plus a tip! Can't go wrong, try it,

One of my favorite curry spots in East London. Off of Brick Lane and in a sorts hidden; you would need to know about it in advance to head over there. Consistently great and freshly prepared food every time with affordable prices. Bring your own spirits.

The food was great but the service abysmal. The waiter serving us was sighing al the time, I had to waive multiple times to order- although he saw us, we asked for tap water and didn't bring it although at other tables they did, they forgot several things we ordered, and started to clean up the table while we were still seated. It felt like they were discriminating our table.

Good good at decent prices. It has a "street food" vibe about it in that it's loud, very busy and you sometimes feel rushed. Quite an excited atmosphere. Overall it's a favourite. Book in advance if you can otherwise be prepared to queue. Also its not the place for a date unless you go late or on less busy days. Thursdays onwards super busy.

Authentic and nice Indian food. Service is pretty good. Staffs are all friendly and very helpful. They let us know when they think we order too much so we didn’t waste any food. The restaurant is nice and clean. Good experience overall.

Great food. But not worth 30 minutes waiting, specially after seeing an ex international cricket player from my country (Md Ashraful - Bangladesh) being cropped into a picture and shown as a waiter there. If looked closely, it's very clear that the photo has been mastered. The authority should feel ashamed and apologize. Sincerely hope they take it out of the wall soon.

Legendary curry house in East London. I come here every year for an annual curry with a whole load of friends, often between about 30 and 60 of us, and the staff are totally cool about it. They're completely prepared and ready for every complication we bring. The food is good and often when you tell a Londoner you're going to Tayyabs the first thing they'll say is "Ahhh the lamb chops!!!!"

Very popular and busy place! They do not serve alcohol but people are allowed to bring their own which initially put me off as I do not drink and cannot stand the smell of alcohol when pregnant. I was pleasantly surprised as I could not smell it despite all the other tables had brought alcohol with them! We did not have to queue as soon as they saw I was pregnant we were seated totally amazing service and delicious food.
