Delicious Japanese food with amazing specials. They have the best ramen in Jersey. Their pork/beef buns are amazing, so good in fact that we ordered another round of them. The April specials were really special. The panna cotta was just perfect.

The service here is leisurely but the food is very good and beyond that inventive. The prices are reasonable too for upper end Japanese and there are a lot of choices. Excellent place if you are not in a rush.

Tawara is a great spot for more traditional Japanese cuisine. You won't find a bunch of sushi rolls doused in eel sauce and spicy mayo here. They offer a selection of seasonal specials that changes monthly in addition to the large menu of appetizers, onigiri, donburi, noodle dishes, and sushi. We live over 30 minutes away, but try to come often. We never leave disappointed.

This place is amazing. A must for sushi lovers. A little spot with an enormous selection of sushi. Everything was reasonably priced and food was out of this world. Staff was very friendly even when we were there a bit longer after they closed.

Well priced. Great taste. It took a bit too long (15 minutes) to get served (noodles) but maybe because we were there at busy hours (6:30ish)

Love the private rooms. Food is cooked fresh. Great green tea. The chicken yakisoba is my fav!

Really authentic Japanese restaurant here. Not some fly-by-night fugazi sushi place that serves sub par 'americanized' japanese. They have katsu don, curry dishes, noodle dishes, and even nattō on the menu, although I was not brave enough to try this past visit. The sushi is good, and so are the rice dishes. There is even a new japanese market next door to try. Very good experience here every visit, service is A1 top of the line. Will be back for sure.

A favorite of mine that I've been going to for years. Good Japanese food at a fair price with a nice Japanese decor and atmosphere.

Super delicious and authentic Japanese food with really cool seasonal specials! Great atmosphere for a date night with my wife! They have cozy little 2 person booths that are really fun and intimate to sit at and ghee is other seating to bring the family as well. Call for a reservation because they fill up quick. Excellent restaurant!

For this price, it is excellent. Scenery, staff, food, and that they have gluten free options. Dislike tap-water, which in this area is very problematic, but acceptable for the price. Recommend!
