Taste of Smithfield

Ham Sammich and Callie's Hot Biscuits were awesome.

Very unique and delicious food! The Little store inside the restaurant had samples of different peanuts and cashews.

Good food, large portions.

Great place. Picked up some country ham and loved the variety of peanuts.

The best barbecue around. I’ll drive all the way out here just to have a sandwich. Very cute and charming location. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable about both the food and local history.

Went there during Smithfield fire department Truck class a year ago.... drove 60 miles to go eat there again today with my girl. Yea.... it's good.... and I lived in Dallas for quite a few years....

Very nice full service restaurant in downtown historic Smithfield. The dishes are unique and delicious; the service was friendly and helpful. There is also a gift shop with special food and gift items. Also, the prices are very reasonable.

The place to go if your in Smithfield for a bite A plus food decent prices, and dont forget to check out the peanut patch in the back some goodies for the road. Also a great bakery 2 doors over.

The food was wonderful and service was outstanding. Then enjoyed browsing and shopping in gift shop. Will be looking forward to going back soon.

Excellent service and food!! This was our 2nd visit. You can't go wrong with whatever you order. Everything is fantastic!! Got the Cajun chicken sandwich the first time and the burger this time. Both were fabulous!!!!!!! We will definitely be visiting again!

Overall the food was good. Don't order collards unless you love vinegar, they were doused. I felt my waitress was snarky after I sent them back. Probably will not go back. With just average food there are too many great restaraunts in the area I would rather patronize.

We went on Sunday and were excited to experience A Taste Of Smithfield. Unfortunately our server was quite indifferent to us. She ignored us and we watched at least 4 tables that arrived well after us be served. When we finally received our food- 1 hour later It was cold and wrong. My grandson had to watch us eat because his burger came out wrong and she did not apologize. I wish my experience had been different and we had a waitress that was not annoyed that we had children, but that is not the case. Very disappointing...
