A nice place not far from downtown but very cozy. Hidden gem.

It has become my go to bakery and place to show my tourist friends. The bread is the best and the botanical garden right next to it always bring those good Bali vibes.Try the warm loafs of bread. The pumpkin seed and corn breads are so good you could easily finish an entire loaf without needing any toppings. They used to have the best brownies in town but they changed them :( also the coffee could be better. Also good for working, good wifi.

Very delicious pastry in a beautiful place (like rainforest in the hotel)! And the bread is super, can just recommend it!

On my city trip to Amsterdam I discovered this great, modern bakery / café.A cozy atmosphere invites you to linger. You should definitely try the homemade sweet creations of a really talented patissier. For example, the almond topping with raspberries or the peanut brownie. If you do not feel like sweets, you can make a sandwich fresh. On the next vacation stay in Amsterdam, I will definitely make a detour again in Bakkerij Westers!

This bakery location is super next to a tropical garden, I really like the atmosphere of the place. Unfortunately I don't like that there coffee come from an automatic machine I didnt like the bread either maybe is just my personal taste..I did like there small pastries. I was a fan of their cheesecake and brownies but this time the cheesecake was cream over cream nothing else and heavy :( to bad for such a great location they should have done something better!

Bakkerij Westers is a bakery and coffee shop inside the brand new Jakarta hotel by Westcord on Java Island in Amsterdam. It has a separate entrance at the backside of the hotel on the Tosaristraat. But you can also reach it from inside the hotel, walking through the lovely inside garden. The bakery sells fresh bread, cakes, cookies and coffee. It is a reference to the original Bakkerij Westers on Vlieland island, owned by the Westers family of the Westcord hotel chain. The bread tastes pretty good!

We hear about the hotel jakarta so we decide to visite, we enter the bakery and the service was rude and not friendly anyways we continue and buy some pastries. Their pastry was old, dry and tasteless. the jungle in the middle is nice, this place is just to go for a drink! the bakery i not recomended

Location is amazing, the staff was really helpful. My girlfriend has a uncommon egg allergy and the staff was kind enough to help us find pastries which she could eat. Now the pastries look absolutely amazing and they taste phenomenal. If you find yourself in this part of town do yourself a favour and don't skip out on this hidden gem.

There are 2 things important in hospitality: service and product consistency. The first is not too bad at Westerners in hotel Jakarta, but it is volatile.Westerners had the very best baguettes in Amsterdam. Really perfect but apparently you have to take it. I was told that it depends on who is baking. SAY WHAT ?! Be consistent. Today I had to buy baguettes that were less than half the size of the ones they had before for the same price. And also flatter and less fluffy, and poorly executed chiabatta. Really very bad.Wouldn't surprise me if they don't do anything with the recent bad reviews. Also reflects poorly on the otherwise beautiful hotel Jakarta.Too bad but typically Dutch.
