This place is always on point. My husband and I have been going for years and from my experience, the quality has remained consistent. Don’t come here if you’re expecting Tex mex. This place gives you a lot of bang for your buck. The food is authentic and tasty, and their meats are always perfectly seasoned.

I have loved this place for years. Their tacos are the best. I usually get their soft shell tacos, but I ordered HARD SHELL, and OMG, they were the best, crunchier, hard shell tacos I have ever had. Highly recommend this spot.

The best Mexican restaurant on the Mexican-town Bagley Street strip! This place is cash only, but it is well worth going to the ATM every time to eat here. They have amazing tacos and I think they have the best Chimichanga in the area. This place may look simple and rough around the edges on the surface, but it has amazing food! The prices are also more than reasonable for the portion size you get and the taste. I highly recommend if you're in Mexican-town!

My very favorite taqueria in the Motor Cities Mexican Town! My wife and I stop in every time we are near Southwest Detroit. Delicious food. Cheerful staff. Fast prompt service. Easy free and plentiful parking.

This is the only authentic mexican restaurant in this area... I've been coming here for about 20yrs ish.... The food is Great! Staff is always friendly...get the Carnitas you wont be disappointed...fyi the store next door is really cool too....

The best and more authentic tacos I ever ate, the carnitas tacos were so authentic, the chorizo taco was delicious, the asada taco was amazing, the green salsa was so good! Highly, highly, recommend this place, I have very high taste expectations when it comes to Mexican food because I am Mexican, this place met all my expectations. 5 stars

Taqueria lupitas is still by far ,Thee best real mexican food joint in the United states of America. Since they opened in 1995, they have stayed true to their culinary roots and that is very rare today .delicios food and excellent service 👍👍

No frills, tasty, affordable food! Best tacos on Bagley. Service is excellent. Lupita's won't win any design awards, but it will not disappoint. A three salsa spread! No liquor license, if that is a dealbreaker for you.
