Came here and got their brunch. Toast came unbuttered which is unusual, and I asked for brown toast and they gave me white. Not the end of the world, though. Their homefries weren't particularly well seasoned, not were they crispy. The scrambled eggs were done decently. The Filipino sausage I got with it were pretty tasty, and they were in a sweet soy style of glaze that was good, but I wish there was a bit more of it.

Ordered Tami’s brunch, food was amazingly tasty. Big serving and very reasonable price. The service was also great.

Great home style Filipino cafe on Bank Street. Highly recommend coming here for Sunday brunch. The pandan buttermilk pancakes are nice and fluffy, and the Filipino sausages are extremely flavourful. Coffee is unlimited as well!

Wonderful place and atmosphere. Very nice decor and a pleasant feeling around, and the service was dynamite. Bathrooms downstairs were nice and clean, this place deserved more clientele We will be back! Salamat! ❤😎❤

Excellent choice of Filipino cuisine to showcase. I found the flavours a bit mild for my taste, would've prefered more ginger and garlic (there's never too much!) I would recommend to anyone looking to try a distinct menu different from other East Asian options in the neighborhood. The venue is welcoming and the staff is pleasant and friendly. I visited for brunch but there are many enticing dinner options as well, will certainly visit again next time I'm in town.

For the Southeast Asian culinary enthusiast, this is another one of the "hidden gems" of Ottawa. Their pandan latté and filipino breakfast are a must-try. If you do choose the filipino breakfast, I highly recommend ordering the rice and sausages with it. Perfection.

This quaint spot is on Fourth Ave, just a few steps off Bank street. The owner is incredibly friendly and the service is efficient. With red brick and wooden walls, big windows and bright coloured art, the ambiance is cheerful and relaxed. The food is a mixture of Filipino and classic Cafe offerings, along with a nice breakfast menu. I had the veggie crepe with peanut sauce and a latte, along with a table to myself on a Saturday. Whether you're looking for lunch, or just a nice spot to have a coffee and do some work, this is definitely my go to!

Filipino pride in town... Amazing food from appetizers, main course and wow the desserts... Exceptional service and beautiful ambience decor. The drinks like the ube(taro) latte or the pandan..

Small menu with not many filipino traditional dishes. There seems to be a better choice of desserts. The pork chop is decent off the grill, but they should add more filipino dishes into the menu.

Service was great but they could have definitely use a extra person, several times I watched the waitress running. I found the food a bit disappointing because I saw how great it looked and was described on Instagram. The best tasting was the home made sausage and chicken thigh. We also tried the cheese appetizer (don’t recommend ordering) it was extremely basic and simple. The pancakes lacked flavour and was a bit dense. The dessert display at the front was clean, organized and appealing to look at.

Calling all Filipinos in diaspora. When in Ottawa look for Tamis for a really good meal. This place is a jewel right in the heart of the city. The food selections are fantastically simple but big and rich in taste. The restaurant is very clean and the service is exceptionally friendly. I found my favourite watering hole. Congratulations to all staff.

Tamis Cafe is a Must for all your comfort food cravings! They create home cooked meals and desserts which are all made from scratch with unique and hard to find Filipino ingredients that are used in most of their dishes. Their goal is to promote new and tasty flavours that originate from Philippines and recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation and it really shows. I have tried the Fresh Lumpia (Veggie Crepe) It’s basicaly Sautéed Sweet Potatoes, Potatoes, Carrots, Green Beans, Lettuce wrapped up in a crêpe and topped with their Homemade Peanut Sauce. And oh my...It is soooo good!! Prices are really reasonable and the staff is so friendly. Will definately go back to try their famous desserts! They look so good and they have a good variety to choose from...#tamiscafe #ottawa #filipino #philippines #ottawafood #ottfoodie
