um, it's a bagel shop.... typically in nyc bagel shops are not going to have the best service you will ever receive, but the workers have always been nice to me. the most IMPORTANT thing is that their bagels and cream cheese are delicious.

We've tried them all, hands down, best bagels on the UWS. Arguably better than Tal Bagels on the east side, which is under different ownership, the UWS Tal isn't kosher and serves a delicious bacon, egg and cheese on everything. Being in LA is like being in the desert of bagels so I always take back a dozen in ziplock baggies when I visit NYC.
