Taco Mama - Florence

Great food and a pleasant experience, even on a rainy day. During these COVID times, we don’t commonly eat in anywhere but they had these fantastic screens set up so fresh air was throughout the entire restaurant area despite the rainy and cool fall day. The food was quickly and properly prepared and tasted great. I ordered a Burrito, my wife a burrito basket, and the flavors were great, the soda carbonated perfectly, and they have three hot sauces at every table—as well as hand sanitizer. Great music was being played, including several tracks recorded at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio and FAME while we were there. As fitting as that was, of course. Easy parking and location right in the heart of Florence.

First time eating here. Food was terrible bland. But margaritas were good. I definitely won't be going back.

Everything was good except parking here is weird and it's easy to miss the road if your not looking.

Was in for the weekend for SchoalsFest. After walking around Florence downtown for a bit, we headed towards Singin' River Brewing. To our groups much happy surprise, there was taco joint right next to it! Taco Mama served us with delicious tacos and freshly made, and well made, margaritas. The tacos also came with chips, salsa, and a side of your choosing. I went with the cilantro rice, which I would also recommend. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. And I really enjoyed the ambiance. Plus there was outdoor seating. And if the outdoor seating is full, you can easily walk across the street and eat at the brewery. Would highly recommend to anyone looks for good tacos and/or margaritas. I believe they also do burritos, which our group didn't try as we didn't want to carb load before going back for day 2 of the festival :) but the burritos looks delicious as well.

When you want tacos, it is pretty hard to beat Taco Mama. I think they have the best Mexican food in the Shoals. I visit various restaurants in the area to video the use of my various hot sauces. Yesterday, I was at Taco Mama doing just that. The manager there was very accommodating and had no issue with me doing that. I ordered a chorizo enchilada, and it was just amazing! I go there often, and EVERYTHING is great every time. I was excited to test my 'Scorpions and Ghosts' sauce on that dish. It was good and it was got! After completing my video, I was joined by Cheyenne, one of the members or the great staff there. She is a real pepperhead and jumped right in to test this very hot sauce. It was such a pleasure to sit and watch that young lady enjoy that sauce. She is a real beast when it comes to hot sauce! She didn't bat an eye at eating sauce that has a heat index approaching 1 million SHU. It was so much fun talking and making video with her. She is typical of the great staff at Taco Mama. I ordered online. My order was ready for pickup within 15 minutes. The staff was friendly and attentive when I arrived. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. They even carried my order out to my vehicle. Food was delicious. No complaints whatsoever. I highly recommend Taco Mama.

This was such a treat. We loved everything we tasted. Definitely coming again.

To start with the girl that greeted us at the door was super helpful explaining the menu. The food was top notch. Their barbacoa is so tender and delicious. To top everything off one of their busser Twana was incredible. Our drinks barely ever made it to half before she was checking to see if we wanted a refill. Definitely will be back!

I cannot tell you how much I love Taco Mama! I've been SO many times and have always had great service and food. The Owner/Manager walks around to check on people, opens the door for people and makes sure that everything is great. Couldn't recommend Taco Mama enough!

Food was delicious,watermelon margaritas so good! Service was quick and friendly.

It's ok...super fast ...the drinks are delicious, the tacos are good.

The service, food and atmosphere are incredible. It is such a fun, retro feel building. Family friendly. And if you are looking for some great vegetarian options this is a great place.
