Tabare

Really enjoyed our night here. We ate here on a Wednesday so we got 1/2 price bottle of wine. I had the chicken and it was really nice, my boyfriend had the salmon and he loved it. For dessert I had the cookies and it was really nice.Lovely laid back atmosphere, perfect for a quiet celebration.

This tiny restaurant is a gem. Dark, romantic, trendy yet understated. The staff is very friendly, helpful and attentive. The food is expertly prepared and thoughtfully plated. Very well seasoned, great portions, and very delicious.

Sat at the back and the music was extremely loud, the place was so hot. Service was great I’d say! I ordered mussels which were just okay. We also loved the steak. When we first got there, we were told we needed to have a reservation and were not even given a time that a table would be available. We took a chance and tried again 30 minuted later and there was a table. Odd.

Had the pasta of the day, the handmade fettucchini with lobster. To say the least it was AMAZING!!! Great service I really recomend going there.

Food was fantastic. Nice selection of appetizers and reasonably priced. Small cozy atmosphere.

Very cozy, good drinks, food was good. Can’t go wrong here. Expect to pay between 40-60$/person. I think this is a great spot for a date night.

Most beautiful back patio dining area! Get a rez for a table outside on a nice day, and order the octopus palpo appetizer and the catch of the day fish and some handmade pasta. All the food was delicious and creative, and happy hour is 4-7pm even on weekends!Note they only take Amex or cash.

Had a reservation for 11pm, showed up at 10:45 and was told the kitchen was closed. Made us feel like we were an inconvenience and like they were doing us some major favor by upholding our reservation. Needless to say I’m not going to stay and eat when I don’t feel welcome. As someone who works in restaurants, I'm fully aware that the place selects the time frame of reservations, you shouldn’t make promises you can’t keep especially without warning. They tried to tell us we had just made the reservation but we had made it around 8pm and it had somehow been deleted without explanation and so we remade it at 10:15 — wasn’t told that they couldn’t seat us until we had already paid for a cab there — extremely unprofessional and unorganized.

I felt lucky to be eating such an amazing meal, in a warm relaxed atmosphere across from the man I love. Service was excellent. So happy! We will def be back. I can’t say enough good things about the food!

Quaint, quick, delicious and considerably affordable for what you get!

One of my favorite restaurants in Williamsburg. Whether going out on a date night or taking friends to dinner. The food is insanely delicious, the ambiance is great and so is the service. We always recommend Tabare to friends!

Great Uruguayan restaurant, chill mood, amazing cocktails.

Good meal @ Tabare. Tried 3 appetizers which were all tasty (pate, cheese & faro salad). Ordered the breaded chicken with fried sweet potatoes, which was also good. Had a couple bites of the filet mignon sandwich which I enjoyed as well. Would visit again.

Great authentic food at reasonable prices. Outdoor patio is nice and don't forget to leave room for dessert.
