Sweet Love Eats

About

We make honest, rustic meals with creative street food flair. Taking all the bounty from the county, we love to use fresh and local ingredients. Real food comes from farms, not freezer trucks. We take a lot of pride in what we put in front of you. That's the love part.

This is a lovely, aesthetically pleasing building and you can usually find something to do here. Sweet Love Eats is located in the cafe area, and Nicole is the main reason I go. Her food is awesome and I recommend trying it out!Memberships to the Y are expensive, even with subsidy in place. This is prohibitive for many families in the community who would benefit from access to programming. I'm grateful for the Strong Start and RASP programs, which make it more feasible. The staffing is much different between the summer months (in April and May, the students return and are usually highly qualified and well trained) compared to the rest of the year (staff shortages and less qualified overall, reduced programming). That said, they are usually friendly and welcoming year round!Honestly, some programming changes and less prohibitive fees would make all the difference, here. The Y definitely has promise.

Very nice facility. Ice didn't look great, could see lots of grey patches. Hope it hold up for young Canada week.

Questions & Answers

Yes! Its above the ice rink so you stay comfortable while walking/jogging! ?

I am pretty sure I would call them to verify the times

Open swim is from 1-4pm and that water slide should be open from 1-3pm. But there is adult swim 12-1pm and adult land swim from 4-5pm. If you do not understand or need times for anything else you can go on the week at a glance scheduled on the ymca website.

I see there is a limited program. By that I mean mornings only. Is there a class size limit? First come, first served?

They have a coordinator in the morning that signs you in and it's free. Being a member I'm not sure about other times

Not really but you can go in to the gym any time it is open and not being used by other programs and there are almost always a few balls laying about.
