Extremely nice and helpful guys work here. I was lost and they were so helpful even went outside in the rain to get me pointed in the right direction. Sadly, I never made it back to try their pastries but everything looked so good and tasty. Next I will definitely buy some.. thanks for all the help!

I love going to this place! It’s great to sit and either get work done, kill time, or escape the weather. Great drinks, delicious pastries, and definitely worth checking out their soup dumplings! Love all of their teas especially the tropical fruit tea. Highly recommend you stop in and either get a drink to go or stay and relax!

Had a few of the pastries for breakfast with a iced latte! Also had a matcha latte as well! Customer service was very good as well!

Breakfast sandwich was excellent but took a long time to get. Coffee drinks took 15 minutes to get. Nice ambiance. Grab and go food looked great. Sandwich price seemed high but was enough for 2 people so good deal. Work on your service speed. Overall good place. Hope to succeed.

WOULD GIVE 5+ STARS IF THEY DIDN'T REMOVE THE FOOD!!!!! Sweet bean is a phenomenal café with good bakery items and coffee. However, their main differentiator was their food. They had amazing breakfast and lunch items that were for some reason removed from the menu. I use to go there everyday, multiple times a day, but now I go there maybe twice a month. The food could have been removed due to operating costs etc. But it would be nice to have a side food menu come back featuring hash brows and other side items. BRING. THE. FOOD. BACK.

I say yes to Sweet Bean. This is a hip little coffee shop on the corner of Wabash and Roosevelt. Very interesting food. Taiwanese, I believe. Also, great music inside.

Cute little place packed with appetizing and unique pastries. Lots of options for those interested in trying new flavors, or those (like me) who are craving ube, scallions & ham, or a host of other Taiwanese / Japanese pastry items. Prices are a little steep, but not terrible considering this is downtown. Only downside is that there are hoards of homeless and beggars hanging around this corner so watch where you step because there is lots of urine smells, spit, and random food items every 2 feet.

Loved the miso latte, taro bun, and hot dog bun. Can’t wait to try more things here. Everything looks so good!

Such divine pastries!!!! We purchased four to share and each one was its own unique and perfectly balanced journey, you can tell the attention and care put into each one. Pair that with some great coffee and it was the perfect start to our day!

They do it all here. High quality coffee (I forget the roaster but it's one of the great local ones), pastries, and much more. Great place to hang or meet a friend. I've come to work from here a few times and the wifi wasn't great, but other than that it's an ideal addition to the neighborhood.

Stopped here on a weekend trip to Chicago and it was just....magic. To walk into a place and be surrounded by delicious pastries and delicious tea I mean, what else could you ask for
