Amazing omakase experience. Waitstaff was attentive and knowledgeable, food was amazing... Well worth the price (around $110 for open omakase)

Really good sushi with great fish selection. Quality is definitely comparable to Japan, although doing the omakase dinner is quite pricey (~$100 per person). Staff was very friendly and they definitely enjoyed when I spoke Japanese to them.

A true hidden gem. A completely gorgeous but utterly unpretentious experience every time. Kind, warm, helpful staff. Surprisingly incredible, consistently flawless food. What more could you ask for?

Sashimi and Sushi Omakase was totally worth it... Chef "Daniel" was accommodating and friendly, the Toro (fatty tuna) was the best I've ever had in NYC and everything was very fresh/clean/refreshing. Loved it!

They should be ashamed of themselves selling such poor quality at such insane prices. The rice was cold and undercooked and everything was ridiculously small ... I can't believe anyone would waste their time there. Save yourself if you are willing to pay that much and go to Sushi Yasuda on the west side for an impeccable experience.

Absolutely fantastic sushi! Every piece was better than the last and the service was excellent. It's definitely not cheap (at $60 for 9 pieces) but it's honestly worth the price. I look forward to going back and strongly recommend you try it yourself!

Very very very good sushi and a very engaged owner that oozes how proud he is of the food he serves (and rightfully so!). The quality of the sushi is only matched by the price...! Had to live on water and bread for the next days, but kinda worth it haha. If you like sushi and don't mind the price (think $150 per person) you'll be in luck and love here 👍🏻

Omakase dinner: 3.5 The ingredients are very fresh and the taste is very good, but sushi rice tastes unstable. The price is expensive. If you are not sitting on the bar, Then your food is trainer do for you. Overall, the taste is ok, the price is a little bit high.3.5

Some places are expensive for no reason... however I cannot say that about katsuei, the food is phenomenal and fresh... and every bite brings forth a wonderful experience, then you have the wait staff who are nice, friendly and helpful, I can say no bad thing about this place.

Great food, kinda pricey.

Best omakase option I've had in a while. Walked right in and was able to sit at the bar. Every piece I had was amazing.
