Sushi Maro

I had the chicken karage appetizer and it was delicious. My friend had the tuna tataki and the gyoza and she said it was also great. Yes, we would go back.

My friend G brought me here for dinner on June 26th and I liked their service here. G got some fried rice and I had 6pcs Sockeye Salmon Sashimi ($11.99) and Hot Girl Roll ($12.99) they were delicious. Sashimi was fresh.Service was fast and attentive. Because we both sat by patio tables, my friend closed the window so we can talk better. It was bit annoying when the waitress opened the window to ask something. We felt kind of distracted from that. Everything else was great though. I liked the portion and taste from Sushi Maro.

Pretty tasty sushi. Lunch menu is reasonable and varied. Dinner prices are pretty high however which is par for the course in Yaletown. They do have Happy Hour but it looks like for drinks only.

The food was a relatively pricey for the quality. The sushi pizza was crisp and tasty, but the rice used in the rolls was not well seasoned and had a consistency of some form of Jasmine rice rather than true sushi rice. The chipped scallop roll also had very little rice, and the mayonnaise didn't quite fit the dish well. Overall very whelmed.

I mostly order takeouts from here, the food is alright, the servers are very friendly. Prices are a bit more on the expensive side cause is Yaletown, but overall is a decent sushi restaurant.

I give sushi maro a solid 3. A few years ago they moved, Reno’d and increased their prices. The new location is swankier so it justified the hike but the prices keep going up a little each year while the quality stays the same. With tax and 15% tip the veggie combo with brown rice ends up being over $16. There’s a lot of rice in the rolls but not much else to warrant the high price. Sometimes I just crave it so I pay the price. Not my go-to sushi spot anymore though.

Always expect excellent service and fabulous sushi. In warmer weather their patio is great as you watch the action in yaletown.

Sushi usually fresh, however, very overpriced. Many other sushi spots that have sushi that is just as fresh, and cheaper.

It's a fave place of some family members. I got to go tonight for 1st time and loved it. The service was excellent and friendly. We were a group so I got to try lots of rolls I have not had before. It was all yummy and wonderful.

Wonderful sushi Oshi - lightly-seared salmon stops on flavourful rectangular rice squares. Constant refills of hot Japanese tea. Calming place at 4:15 pm. Silent Tv's, softspoken staff.
