One of the worse meals I’ve probably had - between the sashimi that the chef had no idea how to slice, to the flavorless broth in the udon to the soggy tempura - our group walked away hungry and disappointed. They even F’d the miso soup...how? The servers were nice but had no idea what anything on the menu was...adding a photo of the chef’s knife skills on the sashimi to give you an idea of this place’s knowledge of Japanese cuisine.

Glorious. All their seafood is amazingly fresh and well prepared. I have never had scallops so tender. The tuna belly was a delicate treat. The rolls were works of art. Their custom rolls were unique and a joy to eat. The drink menu was extensive. The service was friendly, attentive, and quick. The decor was eye catching and surprisingly comfortable. And best of all, very reasonably priced. I highly recommend going to Sushi Main Street if you're in Half Moon Bay.

Often artistic sushi with the occasional original creation. Most rolls, though, are standard. The big turn off for me is that many rolls are made with something resembling a mayo-based sauce. Mayo isn't tasty or authentic. So choose carefully

I come here about once a year because I live in Southern California, but Main St Sushi is by far and away the best sushi I've ever had. It's extremely fresh, expertly prepared and the presentation is exquisite. I've had a lot of great sushi, but Main St is out of this world. If you want good sushi, go to Main St.

An excellent place to have sushi in the Half Moon Bay area. It is just a few feet off the main street. There are seats at the counter, tables along the wall and a few larger tables by the front door. The restaurant serves good food so it can get a little crowded and I would suggest going early. The waiter was very friendly but looked like he was having a difficult time keeping up with all the tables. Our service was very good and the food was delicious. I would recommend this place for anyone that likes sushi in the area.

I've been coming here for years. Great sushi rice and nice selection. Always fresh. I love the innovative rolls. My one giant regret is that they do not have fresh unadulterated salmon. They have smoked salmon. Salmon skin. Marinated salmon. But I want my salmon to just taste like salmon. Why does it have to be marinated? Other than that, I'd recommend!

We've been here several times and it never disappoints! Tonight we had the pork dumplings which came with a wonderful dipping sauce, a huge Hawaiian roll (so good!), a spicy tuna roll, and a Philadelphia roll, plus a drink all for less than $30. The service is always great and the inside is a treat to look at with the beautiful wood chairs. Would definitely recommend!

It's the best sushi on the coastside imo

You are paying a high price for the ambiance and the location. The ambiance and decor are pretty awesome. The food was fine but nothing spectacular. Tried two different rolls and the tonkatsu. Nothing was memorable. The plating was nice though. Our service was good. Overall, it was fine but overpriced
