Sushi Dojo

Great sushi bar, great choices by the chefs on the Omakase. 5 star sushi for when you don't want to pay 5 star price and feel a bit more casual.

Omakasi was extremely filling. All the fish was very fresh and the very fatty tuna melted in your mouth. The built up of taste with each plate was exquisite. The soft shell crab handroll is the way to go.

We sat at the bar and had exceptional omakase (15 items for about ~$100 pp). Great service. Sushi Dojo should definitely have 4.4 or more Maps ratings.

sushi is a bit smaller than what i am used to but you can really taste the quality and attention the chefs put into the food.

Fantastic sushi joint! Came in with levied expectations due to a lower rating and was blown away. I think they had some delivery issues when COVID first started, but I can assure you that the food is delightful. Pricy, but you have to pay for quality sushi.

Don't order from here if you are doing take out. The food takes around 3 hours to come and they do not pick up your calls or refund money. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!

One of the best omakase dinners I've had. Innovative ingredients and beautiful presentations really helped to separate them from the crowded NYC sushi market!

Small, on the quieter side, friendly and excellent food.

A gem of a place. Their sushi Omakase is only $98 and features 15 pieces and a hand roll. One of the best “value” omakases in the city for sure. You get wagyu with truffle, uni, botan ebi with truffle, otoro. definitely exceeded expectations. The fried soft shell crab and the yellowtail collar appetizers were amazing as well. I would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a budget gourmet Omakase experience.

This place is awful. I've lived in NYC for 8 years and have enjoyed some great sushi. I feel portrayed by this place because they had so many good reviews, but it was really bad. Why? I wanted to review the food but we were there for an hour and ten minutes and do not get any food to review. People all around us ordered, ate and left. So we left.

I went to Sushi Dojo and went with the Omakase. I always like to have the chef select what he would like to serve, especially since it adds variety and choices I would not usually select. The variety of fish was fantastic and the quality was great. I would definitely come back and recommend the Omakase. Just note, that it is quite pricey and to be honest, not that filling, but I can eat a lot. I had the shishito for appetizer. Not bad but definitely not the best I ever had. Overall the place was a solid choice and I would recommend it.

Had a wonderful omakase with Chef Ramiro fish was incredible, service was great cant wait to be back!

Great food. Service not the best. Was told 15-20 minutes for a to-go order but it turned into an hour wait. Frustrating. Word to the wise... don’t pay for it until it’s ready, just in case you need to peace out ✌️ UPDATE: Food was sitting there ... ready to go ... the WHOLE TIME

Updated review: Visited NYC this weekend and had to go to Dojo (it's been 10 years) still a great experience and food was even better than I remembered. Will be back next time I'm in the city

Food and service is top notch.! We absolutely love this place. If you haven't eaten here yet , you better!
