Surf Bbq

Absolutely fantastic BBQ from decor to the actual food. I judge a BBQ restaurant on their brisket and Surf passes with flying colors. We also had the pulled pork which was quite good. The only thing that was sub par was the baked beans, would definitely order a different side next time.

Although I had no expectations walking in, this place was a total letdown. The menu choices were okay, but the food was below par. The surf / BBQ motif was a bit confusing, as the two don't really go together. The wait staff was kind enough, but that did not save my experience.

I shared my chicken with my fiance. The portions were large and we both were very full. It was incredibly delicious! We'll come back!!!

Great food, great service! Best BBQ pulled chicken I've ever had and tasty sea salt french fries! I appreciated that their outdoor seating was dog friendly. Less than 10 min drive from the beach. Would have given 5 stars if their sides were as good as their entrees.

This place was really good! I loved the atmosphere, waitstaff was very friendly and polite, we didnt wait forever for service, food, or drinks. The bourbon lemonade was wonderful - it was an overall great experience! Highly recommend it!

Great experience. Went early and got food in under 10 mins. Brisket a touch dry, but still excellent and good portion. Ribs were perfect and sides on point. Great selection of beers too

Fantastic food. The swine fries are amazing, probably my favorite thing on the menu. Good beer selection too. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for some good BBQ. They really do it right here. Had the pastrami short rib last time I was in and even though it was a little pricey, it was well worth it.

This is definitely the best BBQ I've had in NJ. They know exactly what they're doing and it shows. In my opinion, their food is right up there with BBQ places I have visited in both Austin and Atlanta. Everything I have tried here is outstanding. If you enjoy pastrami, I encourage you to order the pastrami short rib- it was perfect and easily the best pastrami I have ever eaten. They staff is very kind and efficient.

Surf BBQ is one of my favorite spots in the area. Absolutely love it. But today I was very disappointed in the chicken sliders. Chicken on a bun. They kind of forgot the chili honey and the surf slaw. Times are tough during lockdown but they still need to put out a quality product. I'm still a customer but the shine is off.

Really great BBQ. I especially enjoyed the baked beans, which used a variety of beans. My brisket made me understand what people mean when they say that a meat "melts in your mouth." We also had a pepper appetizer that was outrageously good.Great place for drinks or to bring the family. Nice, spacious, and clean with good food and good service.

Amazing bbq! Service was great. Excellent selection. Had the brisket sandwich and ended up getting another 1lb of brisket to go. Bbq beans were good but, not what I was expecting. Nephew claims that the corn bread is the best he's ever had - and he is an expert. Excellent presentation on all items. Restrooms are top notch.
