Sunshine Co has one of the best atmospheres of any restaurant I’ve been to in NYC. The style is French bistro and old school speakeasy-esque, casual but elegant. The music is great and the perfect volume, the service is fantastic, and the food is top notch. I’ve been here 10+ times in the past three years and it has never faltered; for brunch or dinner. Everyone in my party always enjoys their meals as much if not more than I. It’s easy to get lost in the slough of great restaurants in prospect heights, but this should not be missed.

Met up with a friend for brunch later in the afternoon on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy. Drinks were good and reasonably priced and the portions were great. Had the Brussels Sprouts Hash and it was really flavorful and filling.

There's always a wait when I go for brunch on Sundays but its always worth it. The staff are always welcoming and cheery. The establishment is tight in size but cozy and always clean. Once seated, everything moves pretty quickly. Drinks are ok. My favorite "go to" dish is the steak and eggs. I always get some kind of toast like the avocado toast.

Delicious place with solid entrees and apps, and a stellar list of classic and special cocktails. Popular for brunch, nice spot to hit for a quick bar, and good value for the menu. I had a great trout that was served piping hot - I deeply appreciated that and it tasted stellar. Good for date nights.

Questions & Answers

I'm sure if you ask you can get it. It's not something they advertise. Most people eat there.

Yes, but it was very cramped and busy during their rush.
