Sukhothai Sushi & Asian fusion

Second time coming here despite my first bad experience since the food tasted good the first time but now I can literally say that its not worth the trouble. The waitress kept speaking in Spanish when we were ordering in english and started to use hand gestures out of frustration, plus she didnt noticed I was looking at her and her other coworkers when she signal our table with her eyes with a stinkiest look on her face. When time to pay came after we finished our food and she hasn't passed by the table to check or refil not once, she didnt bring the check just came with the machine saying the total, charged and left.. I had to ask her for the receipt and when I looked at it it showed more tip than I've entered, when I finally realized why she didnt give us the receipt. They charge a 15% table fee. It's nice you told me you didnt. Guess you wanted double the tip because your horrible personality cant help you get a tip the honest way.

Food is good. Price is way too high. Comparing to similar places I go to in LA, this restaurant is 50% more expensive. I ordered Poke Bowl, it took them 15min to make (I was the only customer), which would only take half the time at places in LA.

The overall experience was average. Not authentic, more of a fusion restaurant. The food was decent but a bit too salty for my taste.The service was worse than the food.- I heard the waitress talking about me negatively from the kitchen by the way I answered her question 🤷🏾‍♀️.- The overall demeanor from her was cold for the rest of the lunch experience. - She took my money and didn’t say thanks for coming in or nothing. She just walked away. Smh.- Then the restaurant automatically adds a 15% tip on the bill. While I would’ve tipped that much anyway, it should’ve been a choice as opposed to required for a table party of 1.I’d be willing to try more food from them, but the service experience ruined it for me.

This is one diamond in the rough. Came here not knowing what to expect and left blown away by the food, the atmosphere, and the service. Had a couple specialty rolls that were perfect and our server Thais delivered top notch, excellent service! Will definitely come back!

Me and my boyfriend love to eat here... you can imagine how good it is until you are there and you try it... this is the best sushi and Asian fusion option in all kendall

Im a regular to this restaurant and I don’t think I’ll stop coming here any time soon. Sergio and Thais are usually the servers to serve my family and I. They are great and very attentive and always go the extra mile. As far as the food goes, you can’t go wrong work anything. They serve vegan options, sushi, rice and works along with a lot more. I will continue to give this place my business :)

I do not recommend coming to this place. First they charged me for spring rolls that I did not order, a service fee even though we were a party of three, the chicken was encrusted with so much bread that I would say about 90% of it was bread and 10% chicken and they gave me literally 3 1/2 pieces. Please do not waste your time at this place they are constantly trying to upsell you on other items. They really need to work on quality control.10/25/19 - The orange chicken was ordered from the lunch menu with a spicy fried rice box.

The Wok dishes at this place were so good!! The portion sizes are just right, and their sushi is great too. Definitely recommend.

Excellent, I've tried several things here and loved everything. Try the tempura cheesecake.

Nothing authentic about this place! First and last time there. I ordered carryout and my chicken curry was more like an old chicken soup then a curry. My rice came as if it was half eaten and returned and the sushi was a horrible mess. Now you know.

We watched the chef put on gloves then he used his cellphone and continued touching the food without changing gloves. We ordered matcha tea with lemon but got green tea with lime. The curry was a disappointment and had almost no flavor. Our server did not check on us. The tipping system already includes 15% but is displayed in a way to deceive you to tip additionally. In conclusion, the food was mediocre at best with questionable food safety precautions and poor service.

Halal Thai foodIndeed the fact that it was Halal took me there and the food was pretty decent.However, if you're an authentic Thai food lover, you would need to tell the server to ensure its spicy.Reasonably priced

This place is as bad as it gets. Their customer service is horrible and their food is nothing to ride home about. We asked for no sesame seeds. What do they do? Fill the plate with it. Than we ask for no vegetables. So they remove it on the lo mein but than add it on the rice. I ask for the receipt but instead of giving me the receipt she brought over her tablet to change me. She told me to go through the prompt to see how much I will get pay. When I finally did I saw it was 40 dollars for two 15 dollar plates. Mhmm that doesn't make sense. Let me ask for the check/receipt AGAIN. Now I finally realize why they didn't want to give it to me and change me first. They change a 15% table fee for two people. It would have been nice to know because I also added a 15% tip. So now you got all our food wrong, treated us poorly and got away with a 30% tip. Funny how you have so many 5 star reviews but are ALWAYS empty.

It was just me and my father dining in and the only customers there. The food was genuinely good and actually ordered more to go. Draw back was the waitress who came up with her little iPad to tell us about the bill and she was clear how much each thing cost. The shady part was her hiding the factor of adding the 15% gratuity.I specifically told her I’m also a tipped employee and I asked if they customarily auto charge a 15% gratuity and she looked shock and said it was the “owners rules”. Be-aware; good food but with shady service; so sad to say.
