This place has the nicest server who made the experience so much better. He was kind pleasant and focused. Then the food was brilliant. The dishes were surprising and playful in their order served. Then the uni was so savory. Like a melted warmth that coats the mouth with rich ocean like flavor. Everything was to perfection.

Great. And you gotta respectThe toGo Packaging. All paper. Beautiful design. No plastic. I don’t know how they source the fish but the packaging gets major respect.

Great and fast Service. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They refilled drinks and ginger/wasabi without us needing to even look up. We were in and out in about 30 minutes even with omakase style (Don't think. Just Eat. Menu). It's very doable to share between two people, but you'll have to be very intimate with sharing or just each pick one and you'll miss out on the other. ($53 per person or you can just share orders). Not pictured below but it starts out with some delicious edamame.Parking can be validated, they have their own lot and parking structure. The whole area is a nice hipster/modern food spot to walk around after too. Will definitely come again.

Wow, first time going. Will definitely go back for more! Fish was fresh and presentation was nice and clean. Food tasted great and servers were nice as well.

Food is pretty, no doubt. But the sushi rice was hot, the blue crab hand roll was fishy and arrived already soggy (which is ironic considering they emphasize eating rolls immediately to enjoy the crisp seaweed), and the big scallop sushi was drowned in sauce. And I love yuzu, but you don't need to drown sweet shrimp in sauce. Service was decent, yet did not deserve anything more than the 16% service charge that's tacked onto the bill. This place is trendy and will help more people get introduced to sushi and enjoy. But it is not edomae by any means and will not satisfy the traditionalists. You get what you pay for (lunch specials are pretty cheap). If you can't hold on for the wait, here, Lemonade is a nearby alternative for a light, refreshing meal.

Absolutely the best sushi I've had. What makes it so good is the rice is perfectly cooked and seasoned. The rice to fish ratio is also perfect. Cozy atmosphere with great service

The food is good and so is the presentation. You could order your food and have it to go. However, the wait is still about 45 minutes, so it's a good idea to order in advance. And, I have to say that adding a 16% tip on take-out food didn't seem right. I've never been to a restaurant that does this. This is definitely a big turn off!

The food quality is actually pretty good here. But expect this restaurant to automatically calculate your TIP and add it on to your Bill. Does this sound right (?) Is it customary in California (in 2020) for a restaurant to calculate how much you're about to pay them for service? But wait, there's more - - I picked up two lunches to go during our new/famous Cv19-virus season. I was automatically charged $17.89 for a tip 'fee' when I was merely picking up food to go. No sign was there to inform me about this questionable business practice. If they had a sign or if they verbally informed me when I placed my order then I may have agreed or accepted that Exorbitant 'fee' at lunchtime. But *REALLY* (?) How many times have you paid a 'fee' for take-out food? And that fee was not a trivial amount. The Nozawa family must really think their food is Amazingly AWESOME, but I prefer Shibuya in Calabasas.

Great fresh sushi. Sometimes the rice is warmer than it should be, but still amazing. The space is limited so go in a small group. Highly recommend the dishes on the top of the menu. I forget what it’s called, essentially omakase but they call it something else and you know what you’re going to get. I added salmon roe, ikura, and it was the last available of the night and weirdly watery. Bummer. Everything else was amazing

I heard this restaurant from the MukBanger Stephanie Soo, and WOW! I came here for Valentine's Day with my boyfriend, ordered two Trust Mes, and every dish was served superbly. Every sashimi and roll had it's own specified taste and texture, it was honestly a whole experience that everyone should try. I would highly reccomend this place for a romantic occasion or a celebratory dinner, the wait is long but its 100% worth every minute.
