Sublime Smoke

Bolivar has several fine restaurants, and originally, I didn't think Sublime Smoke was my style, but we had a great experience there.We order the beef brisket sandwich without bread and two of us shared the 5.5 ounce of excellent beef.The meals are all ala cart so we chose mac-n-cheese for my friend (who's not gluten sensitive) and potato salad for me.The sun shines through large, antique store front windows with a view of the quiet, Canal Street.We'll definitely go back again.

Anytime I'm home to see family I make sure to stop here. Whether I'm getting the staple Pork Sundae, or trying one of the latest specials (most recent one I had was a Spicy Sweet-and-Sour Pork Steak Pasta), I've never been disappointed. The vast beer selection (both on draft, and bottled) is ever expanding and changing, so I always get to try something new. Friendly staff, clean dining room, and a large outdoor seating area all just add to an already Sublime experience.This last trip I stopped on the way to the airport and got a burrito to go so I'd have something better than expensive airport food during my layover. My bag was flagged by security, searched, and burrito removed and scanned by itself. Fortunately delicious isn't a crime, so I was able to take it with me. Let me just say, 10/10, would have my burrito xrayed again so I can eat wonderful food at the airport.

The food was amazing! I had the beef brisket and it was smoked to perfection. My friend had the ribs and those tasted amazing as well. We both had the bread pudding as well. Definitely will be coming down there on our next bikepacking ride south.

Recieved a gift to here for xmas, wow was the food great. Clean and serve was great, the little old lady who served our food was a sweetheart. I had the brisket which was so tender along with pizza which they just started serving from what they said. I liked it so much I ordered a large to go! Definitely in my top 5 best pizzas I've had. My wife loved the pulled pork. They made their own 4 styles of BBQ which were pretty good I thought. If you haven't been there I recommend it to anyone. They also have a bar on the other side which only serve beer which I believe is all imported.

Best bbq and craft beer place around! Wings are awesome! Pizza is fantastic!

I've been all over the U.S. eating all kinds of different BBQ and this place is right up there with some of the best!

If you're in the area or close by, make a plan to stop in here and try out their food. Just an awesome experience all around, great atmosphere and decor. They've got some one of a kind stuff and some sauce that was amazing! Definitely recommend this place.

Pricey, small portions but the food is good. Hard to find good bbq and pizza under the same roof.

I travel a lot and this BBQ was a mile from my hotel...absolutely amazing BBQ. Pulled pork and ribs were my choice. Owner is present and open to suggestions. 1 to 10 I give this a 9 only cause nothing is PERFECT. I highly suggest this place to anyone looking for their BBQ or beer fix. Will definitely be in there again.

I always come for the beer. Always a great selection. I don't eat meat, so I'm probably missing out on some great BBQ. I now know that they have pizza. Unbelievably good. The freshest ingredients I've yet to try. Awesome stuff!

Excellent selection of craft beers, great smoked meats. Clean & friendly establishment. Drove in from Akron and will do it again.

I loved the tender, juicy brisket sandwich with the spicy BBQ sauce. The corn spoon bread has a touch of jalapeno that made it extra-tasty. The coleslaw is rough-cut in a creamy dressing. My wife and I enjoyed every bite. They have a nice selection of craft beers and soft drinks as well. It was not busy at 3 p.m. on a Saturday, and service was very quick. The people here treat you like family. This was my first visit but it will not be my last! Interestingly, they also prepare pizzas, including a brisket pizza I must try. If you like BBQ, this is a great spot.
