Amazing place. The staff is extremely friendly, the atmosphere is cozy (with traditional household items) and the menu has excellent Ukrainian Staples (borscht, varenyky and such). Please note that Streecha is cash only

This is such a fun spot. Basically, it's a little cafeteria in the basement. As you enter, you walk past trash and the tray return (which some people don't like, but I think adds to the whimsy). Ten bucks gets you an absolute feast and the people watching is fun, too. The food is delicious and homemade - cabbage like my grandma makes and pierogies that can't be beat anywhere else. Ukrainian television plays in the background and the decor is minimal, but old-world quaint. The menu is small and set, but the borscht is vegan and everything is delicious. It's a quick meal and totally worth every second.

Little basement luncheonette serves homespun Ukrainian cooking. Dishes $2-$7.

Copy, friendly and food meals. We specifically sought this out when we go here. It lived up to all of our best expectations.Hidden away in a basement, but Google maps got us here

Quaint little Ukranian stop that you would most likely walk right past without knowing how amazing the food is! The perogies are spectacular - a little oily but so fresh and tasty. Their soups and meals are also spectacular and everything is super affordable. Definitely visit!

Cozy, hidden spot in the village. It’s a little tricky to find and when you walk in it’s not your typical restaurant environment. More like a cafeteria, in a good way. The food is amazing, large portions and great prices. Definitely one of the best

Good food, friendly people, and simple setting - This is a rarity in New York. You could miss it, if you're not looking for it. Located in a basement, it's a cash only establishment serving Ukrainian fare. I look forward to daily specials as well as the standard offerings (varenyky, borsch, and sausage with cabbage).

Pierogies with pork and sausage topping was delicious as was the borscht soup. A filling lunch in a cosy environment for under $10 is pretty unbeatable in the city.
