Steve's Authentic Key Lime Pies

Delicious! This is where to find key lime pies in NYC. Less sweet than what is typically found in Florida. The reduced sweetness gives the other flavors of the pie more emphasis. There are few outdoor tables and a small waterfront park nearby where one can watch their pie disappear piece by piece....

I guess it's worth the trip. Would've liked it a bit more limey. However it was a good labor day destination. Had amazing tamaki on carmine street in the city, then drove back to Brooklyn for dessert.

This is not a place to get Key Lime Pie, it's a place to get exceptional Key Lime Pie.  If you've been here once your mouth will water just thinking about it.  Using only the freshest ingredients, Steve's Authentic has managed to shine a spotlight on one of the less popular varieties of pie.  Prices are steep so I only recommend this as an occasional treat, although somehow I seem to constantly take out-of-towners here.  It never ceases to please.  The gorgeous Louis Valentino Junior Park and fishing pier is right next door (think Sunset Park meets water's edge) which only makes a visit to Steve's Authentic that much better!  It's too hot for pie you say?  Then try their lemonade or frozen chocolate covered miniature pie on a stick.  Beat THAT ice cream man!!
