The food was delicious. The service was great. Great portions for the price and no wait time. I will definitely visit every time I get a chance when I am in Greensboro NC.

Best soul food in Greensboro, I love this place!!! Very great and efficient customer service and the food taste better and better with every new order.

I was actually a fan in the past with the food and the portions until my most recent visit on 4/24/2020. Due the quarantine, I was tired of my own cooking so I decided to order a Croaker meal. To my dissappointment, after reaching home and prepared to dive into my desired meal, they only gave me a half of the croaker (the boniest driest part at that). I was confused, if I ordered a croaker, why was it half and for the price, the dang fish is already boney and it is cheap , not a Snapper, orange roughy or grouper...it was a dang Croaker, a cheap fish that the restaurant can surely afford to give a whole piece to the customer vs a split piece with an abundance of dried up bones, fins etc. I gave one star because the candied yams did not disappoint, they were excellent as always!

The service was great. The food was even better. I would definitely recommend to anyone passing through or in the area.

Our server Fenmi was sweet & semi knowledgeable about the menu. Not happy it took roughly 30- 40 minutes for our food to arrive considering it was NOT packed at all and take out line wasn't that bad either. (However I totally understand she is not in the kitchen so I cannot blame her). The meatloaf was VERY dry and some of our sides were only warm instead of hot. Also the mac n cheese could stand to improve - not much soul put into it. I haven't been here in probably 10 years and I can tell I didn't miss anything. Not one single upgrade/renovation has been done to the interior or exterior. It is really a shame the owner does not invest back into her buildings as she has made plenty of money. Either way the food was decent and enough to fill us up. It will likely be another 10 years before I return.

The food was good, however the atmosphere was horrible. Our waitress Essence was great, however one waitress was so ghetto that it changed the entire atmosphere of the visit.The ghetto waitress hollered across the restaurant at Essence, mind you the place was packed. The was unprofessionalism at its best. Not only did she scream, she escalated the entire issue with the customers that had waited about 27 minutes.Again the two stars is not about the food, it's about the horrible atmosphere, which a ghetto waitress caused. She took Essence out of character and embarrassed her a great deal. I hope the owner, whom I did speak with rectify this issue.Teamwork is taught and should be expected. If the ghetto waitress was a team player she could have simply asked Essence if she needed help instead of making things worse.Essence you're Awesome, stay in character, let others look ghetto and uneducated.

Absolutely great soul food. Love it. Will be back whenever I return to the Greensboro area. Jasmine our waitress was very friendly and pleasant.

Stephanie's II, walking in waiting for a host until I asked there were a lot of the staff standing around. Server finally came and took our order. Food came fast and was delicious.

Stephanie's was great! Really good server, Jasmine. Great food, seasoned well and large portions! Good music and fair prices! I could not recommend it more highly!

Usually would rate 6 stars if I could on good food and service alone, despite the traffic. But last night's experience was horrible. Waitress took forever to come back and take our order after she dropped off 2 waters; I ordered a side of fried squash with my meal and it came undercooked and very soggy and greasy; the waitress did not write down additional condiments we requested and I assume her memory failed her because we had to keep reminding her of things we asked for; we also waited 20min on a fresh order of fried squash we were told would take first 5min, then 2. The mgr discounted/ removed the cost of the squash but I was so dissatisfied from the service that my husband and I took the fresh batch they finally brought to us and left.

Visited the restaurant as part of a mystery trip. Enjoyed my dinner. The sweet potatoes were great.

I had the seafood combo with fried whiting and 2 chicken wings, collards, mac and cheese, and yams. Very good, huge portions. Great place when you want home cooking, but very heavy, I'm stuffed!

I had fried catfish, greens, and yams! Excellent choice!My husband had chicken wings, cabbage, yams, and broccoli casserole. Excellent choice! The broccoli casserole tasted like dressing interestingly enough. It has chicken baked into it. I would highly recommend and would definitely come back!

I understand it was Homecoming weekend and they were very busy but the waitress never came by our table to ask us what we wanted to drink. We had to stop another waitress praying buy after an hour of thirsting. The food was DELICIOUS but don't count on the service.

Poor service and the food wasnt better. The greens was sweet the fish was soggy and the macaroni was salty. I ordered candied yams but never got them. Ok cool first and last experience with them.
