Steak 'n Shake

Sloppy. Milkshake running down my cup on two sides.. soda drips all over the outside of the cup. My car is clean, I'd lime to keep it that way- it isnt that difficult to quickly look at the items your handing someone to make sure they're in good clean condition. This is a prob with many drive thrus. The burger did not look like the image at the ordering board, it was much thinner.

shakes are good and burgers are good. wish they were a little less greasy.talk about shoe string fries well that is what they are , but even thinner

Great prices and great food to match! Our server was very friendly, we felt terrible when we found out we couldn't put a tip on our receipt. We left the little cash we had...ugh! We will definitely keep an eye out for her the next time we stop, we owe you for such a pleasant visit! They could stand to use a lil more degreaser it something when colleague the dining room.

One of the best restaurants of all time. I've been to others and they were 24hrs but this one closes at 10. The food is still good and service is pretty good too.

Slow doesn't even begin to describe the service. We waited over ten minutes for someone to take our order, then over an hour to get our food.The portions are significantly smaller than the last time I visited a steak n shake. The burgers were ok, but the patties were microscopic. The fries were lukewarm and lacked any hint of seasoning. The milkshakes took forever to make, we had finished eating for a while before they showed up.The facilities were lacking. The only condiments on the tables were salt and pepper. Asking for ketchup was met with a single plastic tub with a half squirt inside. Napkins were Also difficult to obtain. The bathrooms were filthy and didn't have any toilet paper. It was a pretty dismal experience and It seemed like other diners had similar luck. We probably should have taken the nearly empty dining room as a sign. Hopefully they put up a shake shack when this place goes out of business.

Very good food. Fast service. Burger was a little smaller than I expected (especially from the pictures) but it was excellent.

The prices are not too high for the quality you get. Very nice, clean, attentive staff. Management is also very customer service friendly which is why I gave 5 stars. I always come in with a coupon and they never complain. Use groupon!!

Rude waitstaff and host. Stood there for 10 minutes in a empty place to find out if we could seat ourselves. Then another 10 minutes to even get a waitress. This what we got for a fricso melt. Suppose to be 2 patties and it barely one. Then had wait more time to get anyone's attention to our problem by then the rest of us were done. We said we wanted a refund and the girl kept telling us we will remake it.NO it's to late. Half of the staff was sitting at the counter laughing and talking to working staff. One and done. Never will go back there. There was so much hype when they came to Middletown but it surely was a dud.

Stopped in the drive thru for a shake for the road. Chocolate peanut butter shake was awesome!! Past visits the burgers and fries were amazing! Also had their famous shakes! Their food is delicious! One of my new favorite places!

We went there for lunch today. Walked in at 12:20- and walked Out at 12:40. Waited 20 minutes and still not seated. Meanwhile there were two gentlemen waiting at counter to be checked out. All this time there was an order sitting under the warmer to be taken to another customer. Not sure what happened as we eat here on a regular basis. However today will make me rethink ever returning. We went down the road less than a block to a competitor and had an amazing lunch. With all the business opening in town there are a lot of options. .

Came here for dinner with my son while staying the night in Middletown. It was our first time at a Steak 'n Shake. Wasn't too busy, and service was good. Prices were very inexpensive and the food was good. Took a couple shakes back to our hotel room and they were delicious.Staff were very pleasant, and even ran my son's coat out to us as he had forgot it in the booth. Would definitely eat here again!

Only 2 stars because they have no veggie burgers.. Had a grilled cheese and a side salad and it was very good.

Love this place always good food answer service. Our wait person was very polite. I really Recommend. I visit the one in North Carolina when I visit my sister.

Food is reasonably priced and has good flavor. This was my first visit and I definitely will be back.
