Steak 'n Shake, a classic American brand, was founded in 1934 in Normal, Illinois by Gus Belt who pioneered the concept of premium burgers and milkshakes. For over 85 years, the company's name has been symbolic of its heritage. The word "steak" stood for steakburger. The term "shake" stood for hand-dipped milkshakes. Gus was determined to serve his customers the finest burgers and shakes in the business. Today, Steak 'n Shake remains the "better burger" leader, serving premium 100% beef steakburgers, hand-dipped milkshakes, thin crispy fries, and more. Steakburgers are made without preservatives or artificial ingredients, topped with fresh produce, and always hand-crafted to order. Other classics include the Frisco Melt, 7x7, Prime Steakburgers, and fan favorite M&M milkshakes.

The food amd service were fantastic. We were served immediately and the food came out quickly. My dad went twice and the ladies who helped him the day before and all of us the next day were wonderful and very helpful. The locations near us in Toledo shut down so my dad was craving this food and he was so pleased. We all loved the food! The only downfall and reason for 4 stars is the milkshakes. Dad said we HAD to try these world famous milkshakes. We got them to go as we were heading home that day and.... sad. We all got speciality candy ones and there was almost no candy in them. Sprinkled on top then a few pieces in the bottom of the cup, but that was it. Very upsetting anytime but especially when they are 'world famous' 'rated number 1'I'll take one from our local place any day over that. Thanks for the great service though :)

Service was horrible. We waited 10 mins to be seated then waited 30mins just to be ignored by all the staff. We left with no meal. What a horrible place. Had a party of 10 and it seemed like it was an inconvenience for the staff.
