Steak 'n Shake

We told ourselves we would NEVER EVER EVER return to Steak N' Shake after the horrible experience @ the Wood River location. We decided to give the Alton-Steak N' Shake a try & oh boy we are super glad we did!!Our waitress Korin was EXTREMELY polite & made sure we were satisfied throughout our entire meal from beginning to end. (Was a nice change of pace from the HORRIBLE waitress @ the Wood River Location)From the other reviews, i expected to wait a little bit for our food...but that was not the case. Our food was out SO FAST, our meals were hot, fresh & absolutely delicious!!! The restraunt was nice & clean...tables were cleared as soon as customers walked out to leave. Bathroom wasn't a mess neither.Im STUFFED but had to order ourselves a yummy shake for to-go. We will defiently be returning. W2G Alton-Steak N' Shake for not being like the other locations & surpassing our expected quality of service/food we recieved this evening!

Wish we still had the one in Ferguson! Great food 👍 any time!!

I love SnS burgers but more than 45 minutes in the drive thru is f'd up. Get your s##t together Steakn Shake!

Times have changed for these establishments I used to really enjoy going to these places but the quality for most of these restaurants are poor now days

Steak' n Shake in Alton is one of the last decent resturants in alton. They are open 24/7, usually, they have awesome service, and the wait time for your order is not long at all. Be happy, if you are in Alton, that Steak 'n Shake is still here "In sight, it must be right." Still, an American Classic.

My order was perfect I asked for extra lettuce and actually got it. Oll boy hooked me up, I hate to say this but the fries were a little short. You know a girl's gotta ear.

Food was pretty good. We sat near the prep area and the staff was loud enough we had trouble hearing each other. Some yelling to other across the room. If it weren't across the street, we would likely not go.

Food was good. Service was very good. Had long wait to pay bill as there was no cashier.
