The guys and I go once a week after work ( jeepers @ 4:30am) and just relax and have a burger and a shake. We all know steak and shake great burgers and shakes but our usual server Candi make the experience that much better ( I'll see if she will let us take a photo) besides being on top of our order the shakes get to our table fast and her general presence is a delight. So stop in be kind and ask for Candi !!! Ohh my favorite is the Frisco Melt!

Open 24 hours. I stopped with friends after a late shift. The restaurant was dirty. Tables needed cleaned to seat customers. You could not differentiate between ware and dirt in places. I ordered a double with cheese. Typically they are done medium, but today mine was crispy. French fries are thin but tasty with thier own seasoning salt. The cookie was delectable. The server was pretty quick and personable. Overall a pretty decent experience.

Great food! Sweet atmosphere! Went to to visit today with family for my grandson's birthday and I really enjoyed myself. Our waitress was really nice. Will hopefully visit again before I leave back out of town. That strawberry shake gave me LIFE! 😁 THANKS STEAK N SHAKE!

Good milkshakes...burgers..fries,etc. Very good prices. I think their service could be better. We had ordered some Steak Burgers. They forgot to put bacon and an extra Burger on one steak burger. Other than that you cannot beat the prices.

Probably the cheapest food in town if you like to sit down inside in restaurants. The burgers are pretty decent for what they are and the shakes are top notch. I'd say the only thing you have to worry about are the waves of younger kids that rush in later in the night - not that I don't like them, I just think they are a bit loud.

The food is good, however, I would not call it a FAST food restaurant. Wouldn't go there unless I was dining in.

I tend to disagree, but why is this listed as a question? luckily we can all sleep peacefully now knowing that steak in shake in toledo was SHUT DOWN by the health department after 'every single surface food was meant to touch was found to be dirty' and other things such as 'the hard built up gunk on the food slicers and edges of counter tops which was found to be dried food' along with some 20 other violations...

YES They are ALWAYS rude... and they'll probably destroy your order after you wait an hour to get it!
