Really good food. The steak was perfectly cooked, and the sauce was really tasty. The service was nice, although not 100 % accurate. It was crowded, and we had to wait for half an hour for a table taking a beer in the bar. Really recommended.

The food was ok. Burger was over cooked and a bit on the dry side. But the pattu was good and the sauces taste spot on. Surprised that it was since the steaks are standard at medium rare. Steak came out a little under medium rare but still not bad. Think the gravy was good but kind of covered the meat flavor. Not sure if I would go again. Maybe it is a Netherlands thing but half our glass of beer was head... not even to the line on the glass that tells you the size. All on all about what would expect from a small steak house Doesn't blow my mind or make me want to come back but not disappointed we came.

Charging 2,70 euro for a cup of hot water to top off your tea is not creating goodwill with your customers. Being told in an unfriendly manner the staff receive a lot of “strange”requests and we “offer only certain products so we charge you for a tea without a teabag” doesnot leave a great impression of the establishment. I am in the customer service business and would not have dealt with this request in thismanner. I don’t expect anything for free in the Netherlands, but this left quite an unpleasant impression. A small nominal charge would have sufficed. Due to the nature of our business we have groups of colleagues frequenting your restaurant almost nightly giving you a lot of business and recommendation, which makes this experience all the more disappointing to be treated so rudely and dismissively. I hope you will consider to give your staff the freedom to use their own judgment and discretion (as I would have done) in dealing with certain customer requests.

This is a very local eatery. We visit this place several times every time we are in Amsterdam. Relaxed Dutch atmosphere with good food.

One of the best Restaurants I have ever eaten in. The Steak Balinese is worth killing for. Food and setting inside with lots of locals is perfect. A little bit loud (if you like it, it's perfect) and cosy but the place to be if you would like to eat a perfect steak in Amsterdam. Forget all the "Argentinian Steak Houses" downtown. The Lotje is the best place to visit. But you have to call for a reservation, otherwise bring some time to get a table.

For me this is the best place for steak and potatoes. I love it and every time I go to holland I go there. I tried one of the other locations and unfortunately the quality is not the same that this one that I guess it is the original.

Went there three times, for dinner, in the afternoon for a coffee and for a drink at night. The service has been attentive and quick every time.This busy restaurant specializes in beef tenderloin. I'm not usually a beef eater but enjoyed my meal.

Good place, tasty food, very nice waitresses, more or less normal prices (enough food and alcohol for two costed €68). Highly recommend.

There are not enough stars to rate how amazing the tenderloin steak is here. Served medium rare with a butter sauce. It's out of this world!

Wow did this restaurant make our trip or what!?? This was my favorite Cafe in Amsterdam. Came here with a group of 6 on a Thursday night and it was very packed. We got the steak with gravy sauce (cannot remember what the actual name was called) but WOW!! It was so phenomenal. We ended up eating just the leftover sauce on the plate because the flavor was outstanding.

I was so happy to finally find a place in Amsterdam with awesome steaks, that is not fine dining. I’ve been here twice and both times they nailed the meat temperature. Either they sous vide the meat or they have some of the best meat cooks in Amsterdam. This photo is the Bali style tenderloin I’ve ordered twice and the gravy is amazing. It’s a big portion of meat and under €20!

One of the better steaks I've had. Almost too much food if you get it with the bacon and chicken livers side. Soup game was also on point. It's a great place to go for lunch and it's not overly crowded

Although we didn't make a reservation, we were warmly welcomed and offered a seat at the bar where we waited only a few minutes until we were called to a table. Diane served us - she was absolutely lovely, kind and attentive the entire evening. On offer are a wide range of beers on tap, as well as an extensive cocktail menu. The steaks were so simple yet out-of-this-world-superb. I would highly recommend to anybody who is looking for a warm experience!

Great spot for lunch in Amsterdam, walking distance from the major museums.
