Absolutely the best food and service. We were in Snowmass for a week and wish we had eaten there the first day, because we may not have eaten anywhere else! Excellent staff, friendly manager who was working pretty hard even serving tables. He knows how to make a great martini too!! And he still had time to chat and show me around. That's some multi-tasking!

Too slow and quality very average. Especially considering 4 people spending $300

Between Peter and Maurice, this place has the makings of being the best restaurant within a 100 miles. Service and food are beyond excellent, pricey but worth every penny. Recomend to any food connoisseur....

Mediocre, overpriced food with horrible, couldn’t give a “F†service that will without fail screw up your order and ignore you. Avoid. All food in Aspen/Snowmass is overpriced but this place takes the cake with its bad service, high prices and very average food. We have been coming to Aspen/Snowmass for nearly a decade and have never had as poor of an experience as we had dining here.

We came with our two girls 5 and 7. The service was excellent and the food was lovely too. The steak comes with plenty of beans. Husband said was good. I had the Colorado bass which came with a kind of seafood zucchini warm salad which was tasty. Fish tasted good. Kids meals could also come with veg which my kids said no to, but was a welcome addition! They split a dessert between our kids which was lovely.

Kobe beef burger...simply the best burger I ever had in my life, home made fries were also delicious. Am not kidding, had an amazing experience. I could just fly to Aspen to have this burger

Food was good but super slow and expensive, automatically put 20 percent tip. Bad experience.

Gross bathrooms with overwhelming urine smell and dried boogers on the wall were the nail in the coffin for my experience at State 38. Service was Mediocre. Food was overall bland, unoriginal, and expensive. I had French onion soup and the Chicken Schnitzel. The soup was bland and was topped with mozzarella, not gruyere cheese as advertised in the description. The chicken was good but needed more sauce to balance the buttery crunch. However, I tasted the lamb and it was delicious.Just like everything else in Snowmass, from lift operations to lodging, the trend indicates employees who could not care less about attention to detail and the guest experience. The service culture of Snowmass needs a real upgrade to be the world class destination they think they are. Seasonal and the neomillenial stoner culture employees just aren’t cutting it anymore.

Service was amazing, food was amazing, drink selection was amazing, and the atmosphere was perfect. Don't be fooled by the diner looking condiment setup, this place is fine dining.

Mediocre. We were really excited to experience local game but the execution of our dishes fell short. Elk was overcooked and dry (requested medium rare) and was a poorly composed dish. Bison osso bucco was appropriately tender but not particularly well flavored and the chili mashed potatoes just added a weird bite that didn't integrate well into the dish. Steak tartare was fresh and flavorful, but had some creamy mayonnaise like substance mixed in which took away from the flavor of the steak. Much better options for the money.

Simply amazing! My husband is still raving this morning about the Colorado lamb and he’s already wanting to return tonight. The chocolate bread pudding was incredible and the service and atmosphere were top-notch. Divine!
