Best BBQ I've had in KY. They even cooked our food for the reunion and has great staff. Food is very very good.

There is a reason this place is packed all the time. Simple menu featuring smoked meat sandwiches and meat by the pound. Utterly mouthwatering BBQ sandwiches pressed on a grill with their own magnificent sauce. It is a stole in this town for a reason. Very inexpensive. Sandwiches are a bit small so I suggest getting two. Best in town!

Wood fired smoked pork, beef, ham, turkey or bologna available either as a sandwich or plain meat with your choice of coleslaw potato salad or potato chips. They've been in business since 1955 and seem from the outside like a hole in the wall but based on the steady stream of lunch crowd people either eating inside or tons of people taking it to go this as I found out tasting it is quality tasty smoked meat at a very affordable price. They did serve my smoked turkey I'm just wax paper but the taste was phenomenal moist and Smokey. I actually made the mistake of having them put the sauce on it. The sauce was not needed and it was very spicy

I didn't know they opened at 8 am. Great little counter restaurant. A Paducah landmark. Great sandwiches.. Family restaurant with pictures of the kids on the wall. Everyone is kind. Chips, potato salad or Cole slaw. Very basic but very good. I actually met Goose Givens from the 1978 championship team there once

Most plain bbq sandwich my fiance and I have ever had. All we could taste was smoke and burnt bread. Threw it away without eating it. Had to buy a bottle of sauce to have sauce on the side 😕🤔 Service was friendly, and the place is always busy. That sandwich was awful. Potato salad was good though. 🤷 The sauce tasted like vinegar with a hint of heat behind it. Still gave no flavor to that sandwich 🤢

Best BBQ anywhere! One of the only places that knows how to prepare BBQ! Inexpensive and so delicious!

The restaurant is small and for the most part counter seating only. The Barbecue and sides are as good as I've ever eaten. You go to Starnes for the food not the atmosphere.

Old-fashioned family-owned diner type business. The BBQ is usually served on toasted sliced bread, but you can have a bun if you want. The place was packed with customers but we were seated quickly. Service was very friendly and quick. Definitely no frills, just very good BBQ.
